So far (a few weeks now) we love having this water heater hooked up for rinsing after the pool and hot tub. It has worked flawlessly and automatically turns on when I open the valve on the water supply (we t-ed off the garden hose). It gets hot super fast and actually gets hotter than I can handle. The heat is controlled by two aspects. The flow rate of the water and how much you turn the “heat”’dial (controlling how much gas to use). We used to have a really poor solar pool shower that was roughly the same cost and this option is leaps and bounds better. Will take some time to see how long the propane lasts.     • Does Not Work As Advertised
The heat dial will only turn about 1/4 turn clockwise or counter clockwise. Can only heat water to 90 degrees. After I use it and shut it down on restart it will not ignite the furnace until I disconnect the propane from the unit and relieve the pressure. Does not maintain the temperature when I shut it off and restart the unit. The temperature varies from 88 degrees to inlet water temperature. This is a real piece of JUNK. So far so good. My ten year old tankless water heater finally gave up the ghost. I bought this unit for $100 less than I paid for the unit a decade ago. Water pressure backs up and blows the hose off when I. Off position hasnt worked properly since the day I got it installed. Now I cant find d a replacement hose that will work without leaking. It sucks waste of money.

We got this to use as an outdoor shower in our backyard, and not for camping. The way our water line is in our house this was located in a way that it didn’t make sense to use a traditional method for an outdoor shower. This is perfect. We live by the beach and are able to shower without bringing sand into the house. The functionality is perfect. Installation and set up is a breeze and it has an excellent design. OK now about 1 month of daily uses a Honest review... Pros. Came next day, Undamaged, Don't know about the instructions never use them. 1/2MPT fittings with Inverted flare fittings all label on Unit. HOT WATER NOW... Cons. Reads in Celsius only, Does time out so two in the shower at one time you do have to shut off water flow for a second. Summer temp wide open with 60psi and 2.0GPM doesn't work well. 80-95 F. Winter mode watch out take a bit to get dialed in. IT will burn you. Doesn't come with any flue cap. And a tad bigger than 4in. So you have to do some adapting. ... show more

Buyers Beware! This outdoor shower was used once, then an internal metal pipe split, rendering it useless. Ran into multiple dead ends trying to contact the seller to replace the unit. Nothing, no way to contact the seller. Unfortunately, the unit was not installed right away, so Amazon has passed on the issue. ... show more

Simple hook up, easy to install. Use it for outdoor shower at the beach. The temp settings are kind of aggravating to set because it won't just increase / decrease one number very easy (either to hot or to cold). water pressure does affect the temp as well. If you don't have enough pressure it will not ignite. It does get scorching hot too. Would recommend. Purchased this one over the other ones due to the fire hazard reviews. 6/24/25 update: as soon as I wrote this review it crapped out. Flame will not ignite. ... show more
