Thus is the third Gasland on demand heater I’ve had. For the price, I thought I get a couple of years before I needed to replace it. I live off grid. They are my primary source of hot water. One services mt kitchen, including a dishwasher, kitchen sink and an outdoor shower. It gets daily use, almost constantly. Four years of good hot water. Another Gasland on demand, same model, was used for my indoor bathroom and shower. It lasted 2 1/2 years. I simply believe the bathroom heater, which is more exposed to rain, rusted out prematurely and failed. I have now replaced it with another Gasland heater. I have built a a small roof over it to deflect rain (fireproof of course). I was pleasantly surprised that the propane hose was already attached. That alone ensures that the attachment is done properly, at least I hope so! For safety reasons that connection is the most crucial. ... show more

DEFINITELY WORTH THE MONEY! This unit arrive on time and in perfect working condition and so far no problems after using for a week my only gripe is it uses D cell batteries to run and the flow adjustment and flame adjustment were kinda confusing at first but easily worked out after playing with it. This thing heats fast and the water temp has been wife approved when left on the winter setting on a 55F day when I used on a 30F day it got warm but was more like for washing hands than a shower but it could be done. Keep in mind the waters coming from 120ft deep well so its coming in around 40-45 (if not colder) when first started up only needing about 60-80 seconds to get up to a solid 122f and maintaining temp for the whole time the only modifications I made for mine were hose quick connect fittings and I built a adapter to run off my ryobi batteries just for more convenience in disassembly and not needing to buy d batteries All and all I'm giving 4 stars for the unit as a whole and 3 stars for temp control just because the non reusable batteries and the winter setting not really keeping a comfortable temp in winter like temperatures but I still highly recommend this unit *(Note the hose i used was a normal 25 ft hose for water intake and long handle garden sprayer for the head on quick connects and a 90 degree adapter)* ... show more

Everything worked great other than the shower head and hose. Shower head leaked from the plastic piece at the base of the shower head the moment I hooked it up and shower hose blew a hole in it and is no longer usable. Will have to go buy another shower hose and head before I am able to use it. UPDATE: Seller credited my account to allow for the purchase of a new shower head and hose. The way this company designed the battery holder is so poor that one cannot get them out with their hands (like I could with my last heater) and I had to completely unscrew the whole casing to remove and replace them. Then, the element still wouldnt ignite yet power was still there, so something is faulty inside the heater. I contacted customer service but they are 100% worthless in offering help, and seemingly didnt know anything about the actual product. They wont send out a technician to help and want me to completely dismantle my whole set up to figure out if the inside wiring is faulty, which is a huge time and labor suck for me. Had they designed it to be able to remove the front plate from the sides or front this would be no issue, but they didnt. They wont issue me a replacement or refund because I went through Amazon. In addition to all of this, when it was "working" my shower and faucets couldn't hold temp, they were either freezing or scalding (unlike the last heater I had). Dont waste your money or time on this worthless product or company and if you do, buy direct, or get stuck taking sink baths from heating water over the stove to survive. Thanks Gasland. Great job. UPDATE: After reading this review the company went out of their way to contact me apologetically and offer a full refund. I was pleasantly surprised, and accepted such offer. Then, radio silence. 5 days went by and I said again that I would like the full refund....nothing. The next day I said that I am waiting for the refund so I can buy a new one so I can take a f*****g shower....nothing. The next day I reported their misleading email to Amazon in 2 different ways, and told them....nothing still. Amazon felt bad for me and gave me a $10 credit, which was nice, though still $200 short of what I need. I dont understand how these morons get off stringing people along like this while offering nothing valuable in terms of resolution. This company thoroughly fails on all levels, and I sincerely hope Amazon bans you from stealing peoples money like this. ... show more

I pretty much liked most of everything about it except the garden style fitting. As I remember the inlet and outlet of the fittings weren't as simple as a garden hose female swivel with hose gasket as you'd expect and a fixed male output as you'd expect if you don't plan on using the supplied shower head.
