  • What we needed but…

What we needed but it needs to have a plugin instead . it is for hot wiring.

  • What to consider
Color: White
There are two types, tank and tankless. They do take up a fourth of your under the counter space. If they have a tank, which are most of them, you will need to plumb the line from the pressure relief valve to the sink drain. This is not easy and for most people it will require a plumber $. The tankless units may require new 10 gauge wiring from your sink to your breaker box. Again $ if you can even get to your breaker box. For most people you need a simple unit that will plug into a standard 110 volt electrical outlet. If you have a garbage disposal you should have a spare plug for the tankless unit. ... show more

  • excellent for small cabin low flow shower
Color: White
i have a small off grid cabin in the middle of B.F.E. ...this little on demand water heater works perfect for the shower or sink...you can only use one or the other... not both at the same time. i hooked an adjustable valve into the water line so i can control the water flow through the water heater. once you have the flow adjusted right this little heater works perfect.. i have the temp set at 100 degrees and it works perfect for low water flow applications..remember this is a small on demand water heater so do excpect a high flow/high pressure type set-up. i would recommend this for any low flow water set-up ... show more

  • Doesn't work in my RV with 40 amp breaker and 5.5gpm pump.
Color: White
It was super easy to install compared to some other pumps. However, that doesn't really help me much if it doesn't power on. My system meets the requirements listed: 40amp circuit, minimum of 0.4gpm. The water heater is on a 40 amp breaker and my pump supplies plenty of GPM up to 5.5 at full flow. I tested power at the unit, there is power, I've run water through the unit, it flows... the troubleshooting in the back of the installation manual is worthless. If I can't get it to work, it's going back. Anyone at Thermomate wanna help before that? ... show more

  • Flimsy, Short Life, and Faulty Advertisement
Color: White
Well… it’s a flimsy product for sure. The one I received is dead after 2 weeks. It still powers on and shows output temperature, but it does not heat up at all! The installation was a no brainer for DIY warriors. It is possible to install the unit in up-side-down position but not recommended, because it is possible to have electrical shorted if the waterlines have seepages during testing phase. During the cold days in California with ambient temperature around 55F, this heating unit do not reach 80F when the inlet waterline is on full-flow. It is just not possible at all even I fine tuned the flow rate, and not matter how long I left it on. The resolution is to add an adjustable flow valve to reduce the flow rate (does not matter adding to its inlet or outlet side), or simply to reduce the hot water flow by using faucet’s hot knob. And regardlessly, it has faulty advertisement misdirecting consumers to think it can heat up water to 130F,l. My guess it possibly to achieve heating to 130F when the ambient temperature is above 95F! Good luck, and wish you best luck with all garbages that are made in China nowadays! ... show more

  • Luke warm at best
Color: White
Installation of heater was fairly easy with installation of a 40 amp breaker. I'm disappointed with this heater. 105° at the very best with no more than a trickle of water through the faucet to maximize the temperature. The seller was great about the help & settlement with the purchase. 01/13/23 update. The water heater does not heat water above 80° no matter how strong or weak the water flow. To be quite honest, this heater is crap. ... show more
