  • Love the instant hot!
Style: 1.32 Gallons
I have a plumbing issue in my house where it takes almost 2 minutes of running hot water at the kitchen sink to get hot water. All other faucets are not as problematic. This is not difficult to install with basic plumbing skills and gives instant hot water where you need it. I connected the tank in to the hot supply under the sink. Then ran the tank out to the faucet. When the tank exhausts itself, it fills with the incoming water from the house hot water tank. My only regret is not ordering the larger tank. Otherwise this is a fantastic update to our sink! ... show more

  • arrived
Style: 6.5 Gallons
Now updated - purchased this 1 year ago. It installed correctly but there was no manual. There are YouTube instructions. Runs perfectly. Timed it for hot water and it ran 7.5 minutes. I took a ten-minute shower and my hubby a 15 minute shower at first. We figured out to keep it hot for up to a half-hour shower which is too obvious. Just turn off the shower while soaping up again. I say, works better than described. My husband says it was easy to install, even at 70 y.o. It's easier for the average person with the right equipment. For anyone older, you might want to hire someone younger with a few skills to hook it up. We found it takes a bit less time to get the water heated by putting it on the halfway point, wait for the red button, then turn it to max, and you'll have plenty. This is also perfect for under the sink as well. Leaving it on to run dishes runs out of hot water faster. We already turn off the faucet while washing dishes to save electricity so this is an easy choice for us. Definitely would purchase again. ... show more

  • Works great! Just what we needed!
Style: 1.32 Gallons
We had the same problem that a lot of people do our hot water tank was on one end of the House and our master bedroom was on the other. In the morning we had to wait several minutes for hot water. Not only wasting all that water down the drain but also having to heat all that water that goes into the tank when you run the faucet. Now we get hot water in less than two seconds. It's as hot as we want and we haven't run out of hot water yet. We only use it for the sink but we do have two sinks in the bathroom and it services both of them. The wife is especially happy and I am very happy with the purchase. ... show more

  • Watch Pressure Drop
Style: 1.32 Gallons
This install was fairly easy under my sink. The mounting bolts they give you are a bit of an overkill. After I got it installed it did not power up. Called their customer service and they answered after about 2 minutes on hold. The tech told me to press the "reset" button. He sent me a video of where it was and I was shocked at to where it was. You have to unscrew the control panel as it is on the inside! Why would a Engineer put the power reset on the inside? Plus, you have to fiddle with these very small mounting that hold the control panel in! NOT FUN! After resetting the button it powered up ok. They should have put the reset button on the from of the panel ...DUH!! The next minor issue is the pressure drop. I used 1/2" flex pipe with 1/2" fittings. The pressure drop may be a problem after using the how water to clean my dishes at the sink. It may have knocked it down to 1/2 GPM coming out of the faucet (HOT WATER SIDE) . I used 1/2" elbows at the tank which may contribute to the loss of pressure, Maybe later I will see about changing them out to straight fittings to see if it helps decrease the pressure drop. Inherently, there will be a pressure loss just passing water through the tank. SO TRY TO USE STRAIGHT CONNECTORS IN AND OUT OF THE TANK. I may be sorry that I didn't go with a Tankless w A water heater. Almost no pressure drop. ... show more

  • No more cold wash water at sink
Style: 1.32 Gallons
Purchased this when my instahot died and could not swallow the price for a new unit. This tank installed very easily with standard fittings and came with its own pressure value. I have it under the kitchen sink where is small size is important (1.5 gallon version). It is feed from my hot water heater that usually takes a minute to get hot water to kitchen sink. Now, have hot water in seconds and, while it cools a bit, it is hot enough to do the dishes while the feed line still has cold water. I will be installing these in bathroom cabinets as soon as can do the electrical work needed. ... show more

  • Worked great for four years, but failed today and flooded my basement
Style: 6.5 Gallons
The headline says it all! You never know how durable a water tank is until it fails, but I would expect one to last at least ten years. The fact that this one sprung a leak after only four years suggests that they made the tank out of cheaper/thinner metal or perhaps skimped out on the cathode so corrosion happened sooner. Wanted to share in case it saves someone else the same trouble. ... show more

  • So easy to install, a cavewoman DID do it
Style: 6.5 Gallons
I am in a house I just recently bought. The gas company is super unfriendly, their "inspector," is not a nice person and after clearing the house with the gas on a few months ago now says all the gas lines must be replaced? They're not even old. So, yeah, bye bullying GAS Company! I yanked out the gas stove and put it on Craigslist the next day, lovely electric cooktop now installed. We have options, today. Anyway, I researched and researched, and found this portable electric HWH that consumes low amps and is 110v! I have to admit, the box arrived and I was intimidated. I got online and started looking for "all the stuff," I'd need to install it, lines, fittings, even tools. Imagine my delight when I discovered I needed nothing other than what was already there in the house and some teflon tape I already had. Even installing the pressure relief valve (they provided it, thanks so much) was a breeze. Start to stop, it was making water hot less than 30 minutes after I opened the box. I'm using this right now in a shower. I have to spray, suds, rinse, but it SO beats ice cold showers. My plan will be to use this unit eventually in my outdoor bathhouse, but today, it's saving my life by providing me with a hot shower. So, so happy I bought this. ... show more
