Purchased this to replace a finicky water heater in my garage. It is only connected to a sink and works fine. I like the digital temperature display and how easy it is to change the temperature. The one I replaced was twice as much money and would not work if the cold water was turned on, only worked with the hot water on and would get too hot. Not a problem with this heater, I'm impressed with how well it works for the price I paid.

I should have done this YEARS ago!!!! This unit has a superier build quality to others that I have seen and takes advantage of superier Technology; a briliant design that should make it one of the lesser users of electricity, compaired to most others available! Very EASY installation!!! So glad to get rid of that TANK of constainly heated water that makes absolutely no sinse, using lots of electricity ALL THE TIME, for something that you only use 2% of the time; HOT WATER!!!

update as of Jan 28 2025, rating down from 4 to 1, very disappointing. thought I still have time windows till Jan 31 2025 to return this, but I will not, because I had promised Amazon ( not the seller) since I already returned the exact model one back in Nov, 2024, exact the same issue, but now very frequent occurring, shutdown itself and i have to go downstairs to reset the middle power button on the beautiful glass-alike panel. Customer service is responsive, but helpless, no real tech insight or support from them, I wish I didn't buy this, not a pleasant experience. I found this particular model after my previous other generic brand water heater broken after 16 months of constantly daily usage, that was 7KW and about 1/3 cost less than this eco65B, this eco65B looks really attractive to me, the product is very well made when up against to my other premium heater a few year ago. glass panel and heavy gauged pigtail wire seems can handle 40A or even 60Amp. unfortunately there was one glitch in my particular unit, it randomly shutoff itself without any reason during the first 30 days, no error codes, and max temp I set is only as high as 112F ( not even close to its capacity of 131F), that was alarming, by looking at Amazon web reviews, some suggested flow sensor or temp sensor unit. I noticed this only happens when I let the tap water run continuously for more than 3-4 minute long or more, and it is randomly and not very every times occurs though, but still concerns me as a brand new heater. Otherwise than that I was very happy with this brand and model, meet my expectation, need and looks aesthetically pleasing. Hopefully this issue only happens to me as specific unit. and this brand can bear its ecotough name and generally a dependable product, ( based on the Amazon reviews, it does sound like a good one, and that why I bought it at the first place) The display only display the set or actual temp, no additional info, such as flow rate etc.... and like other similar brands, there is a clicking sound every time you turn on the tap water ( likely from the built-in relay, I wish they can improve this and have a different type of control board to get ride of click sound. please NOTE this clicking sound happens to every such design and mid-priced tank-less water heaters, not a defect. not particular tied to this model.

By miles better than the unsafe Rheem brand water heater that it replaced. This one has a constant temperature, so you don't scald yourself of the water flow is low. The Rheem ones that are a little more expensive don't have basic safety features included. I would recommend this heater again.

My kitchen faucet is at the opposite end of the house from my gas water heater. If I ran the hot water wide open in the sink, it would take about 30 seconds for the water to start warming up, and about 45 seconds before it really started getting hot. I finally decided to get an on-demand water heater for the sink. After lots of looking at the myriad of options out there, I decided on the ECOTOUCH 065. I didn't want to go more than 30 amps, and since I'll only be heating the water between my main water heater and the sink, and only until the normal hot water reaches the sink, the ECOTOUCH seemed like a good solution. Installation was simple under the sink with the 2 provided clips. I now have the hot water line from the gas water heater connected to the cold water input to the ECOTOUCH, and the hot water output connected to the faucet. Now I get hot water within a couple of seconds at the faucet, and it's quite sufficient until the REALLY hot water arrives from the other end of the house. Once the hot water starts arriving at the ECOTOUCH, it shuts off since the water coming in exceeds the temperature setting I set on the ECOTOUCH. It's quite an efficient setup in my opinion. Supplying 30 amp service to the unit really wasn't much of an issue for me; my basement has a drop ceiling, and running the wiring through the ceiling there and up under the kitchen sink was fairly straightforward. I had initially bought a 30 amp double-pole breaker for the service panel, but then a note in the manual which I finally noticed cautioned that only a GFCI breaker should be used to prevent electric shock. I should have known this anyway, but it's not stated in the specification table they provided; it only said to use a 30 amp breaker. So I installed a double-pole 30 amp GFCI breaker, and I'm comfortable in the knowledge that it's a safe installation. I do have to comment on customer service. While I was hashing out the GFCI issue, I emailed tech support to clear up a question, and within 1 day, I got a response. I was quite pleased with their responsiveness! The photo shows my installation under the double sink in my kitchen. There wasn't any room to spare, but it fit fine. I'm happy with the way the ECOTOUCH works so far, although it's only been a few days. Hopefully this is a one and done project, and I'll never have to think about it again for a long time!
