I have always needed an additional water heater for the sink in my bathroom that is a whole house away from the main water heater for the house. Running water for almost 3-4 minutes just to wash your face with warm water in the winter is a pain and a luxury that most of us avoid. I had a 2gal tank -under the sink- water heater in my art classroom at school that was wonderful! So I investigated that idea for my home space. After comparing all of the options, (Thank you Amazon for your great return policy!) I chose this particular model and size. Wow! What a difference in time, water waste and -I am sure -eventually $. It provides hot water right away and space-wise you can barely tell it is under the sink!. This is the way to go for anything I need like this again in the future-for sure! The water can be warm to very hot-so there doesn't seem to be a problem with the temperature - and it is endless-As long as I run it-it will not run out-I guess I could put this on the shower too-( I am not sure to what extent you can split the water flow without compromising the little device--There were larger ones for more water flow-) I did have to get an electrician to install it-but after that, it was a simple hook up. I bought two-but decided I didn't need two. The customer service people were prompt, friendly and generous- especially when I decided I actually would use the 2nd one the day after I sent the other one back! I think this is a great purchase all of the way around.

I was looking for a small compact water heater for a hand washing sink, then this "beauty" popped up. I was ecstatic as this was perfect. Size, price, ease of connections. What could go wrong right? two weeks after installing the unit i noticed the unit had a small puddle underneath of it, in my vanity. The leak appeared to have been there for a little bit as the bottom shelf of my vanity was all bubbled up. I looked over all my connections to see if i could find where the water was coming from. Nothing. So i took the front cover off and discovered a small leak coming from the octagon in the center of the unit. (See picture). I contacted the company and they were fast on responding and replaced the unit in its entirety. I received the replacement unit and quickly got it installed. (the mounting bracket broke trying to get the old unit off. The mounting bracket is made of plastic and very cheap). I replaced the unit and turned the water back on. Everything looked good and after 10 mins, i noticed the unit was leaking in the same spot as the old one. I don't know if this is poor craftsmanship or luck of the draw. If looking for a small water heater i would look other places. This unit ruined my brand new vanity and i am still without hot water. not worth the $100 i spent on it.

unit ran perfectly for 5 days or so...then i hear a small explosive sound and water pouring out under my kitchen sink cabinet. unit was not running at the time...the back of the unit blew out and it looked like a metal spring was coming outside the black plastic backer... i got a refund and bought something else ....very disappointed..this is my 3rd under counter unit and id say in 6 years....they dont last..

Our bathroom in Florida is a long way from the big hot water heater. Plus the water goes under the slab and chills of quickly. I ran a dedicated circuit for this on demand point of use water heater. It is so nice and less wasteful to have hot water really fast. We did have one issue with it, but Fiona at Thermoflow took care of it quickly. I did need to buy the adapters to reduce it down to 3/8 compression fitting. I think it is a good buy and find it very convenient.

Unit was initially satisfactory but I contacted the Thermoflow Customer Support to see if the performance could be improved. They worked with me closely to obtain performance data for their engineering department. I provided photos and measurements of water pressure, temperatures for both cold and hot and photos of internals. They in turn provided me with an upgraded system free of charge to ensure that I was satisfied with their product. I am upgrading to the ELEC 5.5, 5.5KW model as a result. I am very impressed with the overall support I received.

this little heater is ideal for smaller simultaneous usage...it wouldn't handle 2 showers at the same time, but for a sink & shower...no problem

We have had this water heater installed for about a year now. In the past 6 months it developed a slow leak, creating a puddle under the sink. The leak is coming from a plastic housing that seems to have a valve or diaphragm. I tightened the 6 screws around the cover of the valve (2 torx head and 4 philips head ?!), but the leak has continued. Based on the other reviews, will be looking for another manufacturer. Can't risk having a leak even a few years down the line.

My water heater is a ways from the kitchen sink so I wanted one of these to supplement until the hot water gets there. I installed the unit and it began leaking internally after about six months. I contacted the Seller and they sent me a replacement unit very promptly. The second unit began leaking almost immediately. I determined the leak was coming from where the water inlet goes internally into the unit. This seems to be a poor design that would be prone to leak sooner or later. I did not even ask for a third replacement...
