Because it was within the warranty period, I called Camplux for a replacement. They responded quickly. I sent a video of the problem, and Camplux sent us a new unit. I use this in my barn so I can fill water buckets with warm water or bathe horses. I love this thing- doesn't use near as much propane as I expected, and the water gets really hot. The hose/ sprayer that came with it broke after a few weeks of use- but before that the nozzle and water pressure was good. Super easy to swap out to anoyher hose and nozzle, you just have to make sure you use a rubber washer to keep it from leaking

First, the product has been great and has performed as advertised. I bought this unit for an outdoor shower I built and all that use it rave about the hot water and pressure coming out of it. I did have an issue due to my own fault in not properly winterizing the unit. This is where Camplux really showed their great customer service. First , their on-line reporting process was easy to use, response time was great and you could feel the desire to do right by the customer Secondly, though by “letter” of the warranty associated with dates (1 yr warranty), Camplux could have completely denied my claim; they instead sided with me on the “intent” of the warranty, honored my claim, remedied the problem and now have a customer for life! Thank you Camplux!!!

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I have had three of this POS and they all stopped working after a few months of light use. I submitted warranty claims and they honored 1 out of 2 and ignored the second. Anyway I put the replacement unit in and few months later completely different issue. The ignitor doesnt work which is totally different issue from before. These should be illegal for how bad they are. I have escalated it to Amazon. If you want more details- I bought two of these units after reading a lot of good reviews. I needed something for our offgrid cabins that were 12v and propane and these fit the bill... except they dont... After about maybe 3 months of semi consistent use lets say 10 days a month they completely broke down almost around the same time. A few weeks apart. One of them just stop working completely for no apparent reason and another one started leaking because of an issue with the heat exchanger. Warranty claimed submitted and they are sending me replacements and have been good about honoring their warranty. They made it easy to contact them and get it rectified but its still $600 I am out. I will not put these things back in my units. If you are needing these specs check out the Raneins. Update: The Rainein 65000 BTU are gold. im not affiliated with them but I am loving it so far. Ordering a second one for replacing these. The knobs start to melt thats the first sign they are about done for!

I wish I could give 4.5 stars but this item has not earned 5 stars. The good. It produces endless hot water and sips propane. We use it for all our hot water at our off grid house and only use a 4.5 gallon bottle every 6 weeks. The bad. When it’s cold out it is hard to light. It will only light on eco mode when it drops below 55 and below 40 I have to use a heat gun to heat the whole unit for it to light. Also, to drain it for freezing temps requires using compressed air. Removing just the drain plug results in a major failure of the internals as trapped water will rupture the heat exchanger. The ugly. It will go as high as 150!!! If you aren’t careful you could get severely burned. Also the water temp varies with flow so what is safe in the shower results in water that’s too hot at the sink due to reduced flow of the sink faucet. Good value for the price just wish it was safer and more reliable in cold weather. If you are considering it for an outdoor shower or a way to quickly heat up some water outside, as long as it’s above 55 and you watch the temp you’ll like this device.

I purchased this water heater just a little over a year ago! It worked great and I took it down for the winner and put it back up a month ago and it started leaking everywhere!! after contacting Camplux they had wanted to send me a part to fix the water heater, but I asked them if they would just send me a new water heater instead? Their initial reply was that the warranty was over and that wouldn’t probably happen, but they would see what they could do. After a few days, I received notice that they are sending me a new water heater and I will receive it tomorrow.! I’m thoroughly happy with the customer service and would highly recommend purchasing any of their products.

Want reliable, fast hot water upta camp? Worried about pilot lights blowing out, or some bug getting in and roasting itself? Have limited space but big dreams? If so, this is the heater for you! Seriously, this thing was a breeze to mount and install. Water in, water out, and connecting the heater to the propane system was simple. It tucks right into an alcove on the outside wall. Now we have hot water for showers... a game changer! And boy does it get hot, if you want to. Temperature options range from tepid to thermonuclear, and you can control the output right down to the degree. If you want hot water fast, buy this thing. It's well worth the price. It's given me a summer of hot water so far, and I expect many years to come. Buy a pair of D batteries now and then, and it should last for years. I include photos of the front, fittings, and vent because the stock images are a little lacking.
