Love the design of this dog cabana! It's nice that it's elevated, and that the white mattress cover stays cool on hot days. Both my ~12lbs dog fit in it together though they prefer just one at a time. Be sure to note that the width of the lower area/mattress is 32" not 38" so keep that in mind before purchasing. I think it would be great for any small or medium sized dogs. Only cons were assembly was a little difficult and more time consuming than it seemed like it should be, and the mattress needed airing out for a few days. I love it. More importantly, my cat loves it! She knew right away it was for her. The package arrived in great condition, everything was neatly packed in the box. Instructions and constructions were easy! The open design lets my cat feel comfortable being there are many ways to enter and exit the bed. It also let’s us keep an eye on her if we choose to step inside for a moment. The roof provides protection from the hot rays of the sun, I purchased it with the idea of shade and protection from hawks. I am small enough to sit in there with her but make sure to read the weight limits before trying that. When using a pillow in there, I find it comfortable— and considering she goes straight to her bed when she joins us on the balcony, I’m guessing she finds it comfortable, too! ... show more

I bought this for my semi-feral cat to fit under an outside porch. It's a solid construction and looks like it will hold up well, be easy to clean, and it looks very nice outside. I'm a just-OK handy Gal but it was very easy to put together. I'm very happy with this purchase! Quick ship too.

It works and the dogs seem to taking a like to it w/ no complaints. It helped that I introduced it to them by placing some snackos on the pad which encouraged them to enter and and check it out. Now, the three of them each try to claim the space over the others. My only complaint would be that it wasn’t the easiest thing to put together. I put most of it together on my own, except for the roof. In order to get the roof lined up with the holes you need to use, you WILL need another person’s hand. Also, they include a little Allen wrench to put the T25 hex bolts in, but you have limited space for which to tighten before you have to pull the wrench out and restart, so it’s just a slow, arduous process to get all the bolts in and tightened properly. I couldn’t even easily access the bolts using my offset screwdriver. So, one star off just for that. Otherwise, it’s held up okay in a couple light rain showers so far. I really liked it it's pretty big and the mat seems comfy but my dog just didn't want to use it when she's outside, it is sad to say, but it only lasted a summer (average of 110) reason for the 3 stars.
