The BEST and easiest self tanner I have EVER tried. I will never go back. You literally put as many drops in your lotion as you want and rub it in. ZERO evidence that I’m wearing self tanner. Not one orange spot or streak. Not my knees, wrists, hands, ankles, nothing. Self tanning is too much work for me but THIS? Omg. I’m medium olive skin tone. I’m obsessed with Tan Lux self tanning drops! I’ve been a sun worshipper for many years. Now that I’m 45, I searched for an alternative to sun taning and found these! Once every two weeks or so, using regular disposable gloves, I apply 6-8 drops mixed with a few pumps of my body lotion to each area of the body. I wait about 30 minutes before getting dressed to allow product to absorb fully. If applied in the AM, I see full results by the evening, if applied PM I see results in the AM. I’ve been using them for 3 months now. It gives me a gorgeous “Greek goddess” tan and glow. I get SO MANY compliments on how beautiful my skin looks. It’s Never orange or streaky and Never transfers to my clothes. I have noticed however that when I use a concentrated Retinol serum 0.5 or higher, on my face/neck/chest, once or twice a week, the tan doesn’t last as long as it does everywhere else. Just fyi. In the fall I back down to 4 drops per body area for application and will probably hold off in the winter until spring again. Love that it’s so customizable, WORTH every penny! I absolutely love this product!

I decided to give these drops a try after seeing Tan-Luxe products on several "Best Of" lists. Even though this product is spendy, I think it is a good value for money because like the packaging says, 2-6 drops per body part mixed in body cream or lotion is all you need to accomplish a visible tan. I like the dropper applicator that makes it easy to control the amount of product that you use. I am Mexican ancestry so I naturally toe the line between light and medium foundation shades, with a neutral undertone. I try to stay out of the sun to avoid sun damage. I have now tried these drops 2 different times, a couple months apart. I was hoping these drops would give me a golden brown glow that mimics a natural suntan. I mixed 3-4 drops in a pump of body cream (as per the directions) and applied until rubbed in. It takes about 4 hours to start seeing noticeable darkening. There is a slight biscuit smell as expected with most self-tanners, but it isn't overpowering. I don't know if it is my skin chemistry or what, but instead of a neutral brown tan, I got a yellowish, slightly orange result. Compared to the tan I used to develop naturally spending time in the sun when I was younger, it looks unnatural. I think people with fair/light skin tones with neutral or cool/rosy undertones would get a better result with this product. Upon doing more research, I'm off to look for a tanner with a green base to combat the yellow/orange result. But the ease of use and the potency are fantastic, especially for me as a first-timer to self-tanning.

You mix it with your lotion. The more you mix, the more tan you get. The tan is a nice bronze. It does NOT come off on your sheets or clothes. I absolutely love this stuff and people always ask, “where did you go on vacation?” I also bought the face one - recommend that one too. I recommend the following: 1 x1 pumps of lotion to drops of self tanner for a light tan. 1 x 2 pumps of lotion to drops of self tanner for a deeper tan. Mix it all up in your hands. Then, rub it in very well. Wash your hands after, especially between your fingers. Wears off in 3-4 days. The face one is awesome too. Use it every 2-3 days for consistent look, more often to look really tan.
