Description

These cans of spray paint are extremely useful for painting large surfaces. The paint is a synthetic lacquer that cures in a short period of time. Each contains 100ml of paint, which is enough to fully cover 2 or 3, 1/24 scale sized car bodies. Tamiya spray paints are not affected by acrylic or enamel paints. Therefore, following an overall base coat, details can be added or picked out using enamel and/or acrylic paints. By combining the use of these three types of paints, the finishing of plastic models becomes simpler and more effective.

  • Tamiya spray paints are some of the best on the market
I like the fact that it dries quickly and the color remains consistent from can to can. The thing I don't like about Tamiya paints is that they don't seem to be able to keep the most popular colors in stock. It seems all the black colors(flat black,semi-gloss black, matt black and gloss black)are always sold out or in short supply. ... show more

  • Semi-gloss black
This paint is great. It goes on well, it stays on, and the spray is fine- you don't get the grainy texture you get with many other hobby sprays. Great for any surface that might react with enamels. I use it myself to paint the hooves on satyr dolls and to do body painting on Monster High. It WILL eventually rub at the joints - but all paints will, you'd have to go with a dye or a vinyl binding paint to get around that. It just lasts a lot longer than others I've tried before the joints chip. My only regret is that they don't tell you this black is the SEMI GLOSS - be sure to buy the 'matt black' if you don't want any gloss. ... show more

  • Quality paint for quality results
Quality paint, easy use, magnificent results. 10-$15 for 100 ml spray is a little steep, but with Tamiya you get what you pay for. Overall Id say the slightly higher price is worth quality results

  • Tamiya spray lacquers -- excellent paint
Tamiya spray lacquers dry quickly and form a smooth new skin. I can count on them to produce a fine finish with little effort.
