so fun, but not for everyone
This car is a lot of fun but not very durable. I brade something every time I run it lol. It is a LOT of work to put it together, but if you love the hobby, you will love this car. it is fast and fun with some cool upgrades. It can NOT keep up with the bashers out there, but it is really cool to rip around a dirt track or short grass, like a golf course with 4-wheel drive. I love this car, I feel like it drives like the real Lancia Delta Fast screaming to be pushed, but when you push it hard, it rebels. Everything is replaceable, and there are a lot up grades. But I have to clean, and fix something almost every time I run it. takes me about an hour or so. If you don't push it as I do, it will hold up better lol full asubaly takes 5hr to 7 hrs so strap in and have fun.

Tamiya makes the best
The best RC kits on the planet. To anyone complaining that other parts are needed, yes. They are! Every Tamiya kit ever requires you supply a battery, receiver, radio, etc. This is how it works, going back to the 1970s.. If you are upset that these parts are not included, welcome to the hobby, you're clearly new to it.

It's a great little car. Been of covid-19 it's hard to get parts.
I have always loved the detail that Tamiya puts in there r/ c cars. The xv-01 is my first front motor mounted car . It handleds great and is fun to drive. Being that's it's a Tamiya and has all that detail you need to follow the instructions step by step. If you don't you will be tearing half the car apart because you missed something.

Great for adults or teenagers, not for kids!
This is an AWESOME kit. Really fun to build, handles like a dream. I gave it only 4 stars here because there are some caveats. First, the description under age range says "kid". This is NOT a kit for a kid. Sure, a mechanically inclined 12 or 14-year old kid with modelling experience could do this, but it's not the kind of thing you buy for your 10 year old and just say "good luck". I wouldn't recommend it to an adult who's never built an R/C before either - there are a lot of easier kits out there. Second, you do need a lot of extra parts to complete. Radio, servo, ESC, battery (to match your ESC) etc. and may require some soldering on those as well. But if you're used to this sort of thing it's great! Just buy wisely.

So fun to build
Love building these. Been decades since I have. So much fun. Just like the real deal. I haven't had the opportunity yet to really test it outside due to winter. Came with all the oil and lube you need. Can't wait for good weather.
