I’m really impressed with the response that tamagotchi uni has provided me. The product is very much well put together. Its size is perfect and comfortable to hold and I’m more than blessed they added back the physical touch buttons. The game pauses when the battery dies so rest assured your vpet will be safe. It’s rechargeable with USB-C! The device is easy to upgrade and customize. The features in game are great. While different than predecessors , the uni has consistent updates, events and social meets that allow people to connect with eachother. It’s truly amazing that this little device can connect via wifi. There’s a whole community for this product. If you’re thinking about getting a tamagotchi, get the UNI. It’s more balanced and less tedious in terms of taking care of your virtual pets. ... show more

The battery life is no issue since you can charge this one. What a plus! The screen is beautiful and smooth compared to the previous Tamagotchis I know, fast responding, and I love the Uni's ability to connect to the internet! It was shipped to me very quickly and I'm very happy with it. Just, for anyone reading this, make sure you get a screen protector or a plastic wrap because the screen picks up scratches like crazy, even without touching it (that's what I heard, at least). ... show more

    • Nostalgia through the roof!

The media could not be loaded. I love my uni so freaking much. I haven’t had Tamagotchi in years, the last one I had was in the early 2000s and it wasn’t this advanced, so color me shocked at all this can do. I’m obsessed with the personalities, being able to dress up these cuties, craft outfits, play games and more. The tamaverse, though I think it could have a little more , is a nice touch. The arena will open periodically so others around the world can play games together, which is cool! This was a great introduction back into the Tama world, and I don’t have to worry too much about my Tama dying they aren’t nearly as demanding as the ones I remember as a kid. I can call the sitter and not have to worry, which is great. One con though, they made the screen incredibly cheap, and it scratches so easily, so be extra careful with it. But overall, I’m in love. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just a warning, this will be kind of a long review. I grew up with tamagotchi and have had the original tamagotchi, connection v2, pix, and now the uni. I absolutely love the uni. The blue one is my favorite design of the 3 currently available. I love that the uni is not as bulky as a lot of the color tamas, it feels very similar to the ones from the connections series. The buttons are hard plastic and work very well (Yay no more touch screen buttons!) The clear plastic shell on the back is really cool. The idea of wearing it as a watch is cool, but it's still a bit bulky to wear on the wrist and I already have a smart watch that I wear daily so I just don't wear the uni this way. But of course it's just as easy to put a case on it and clip it on a lanyard. One of the features that I'm SO excited about is the fact that the uni is rechargeable!! I'm so happy that I don't have the change the batteries on this thing. I hated having to change the batteries every week on my tamagotchi pix. The battery on the uni lasts all day, I usually charge it for a little bit each evening just to keep it close to fully charged. The wifi capability on the uni is another cool feature. I like that there are updates and downloads for free items. Also, the tamaverse is pretty neat. They're currently working on expanding it so I'm excited to see what they add. I like to send my tama on tours. The online events are pretty cool too. It helps keep things fresh and give the player more to come back and do. I'm also loving the amount of customization. I found it annoying that on the pix, there were so many things that your tama couldn't wear until they were an adult. With the uni, your tama can wear more of the accessories as soon as they're no longer a baby (couple things like aura items they can't wear until adulthood, but overall more accessories are available earlier). They can also wear like 4 things at once so it gives you the ability to give them a really specific look and make it your own. I also love that an item can be placed in their living room in addition to the furniture so your tama can interact with it when they want. Things I dislike: I'm already seeing a lack of storage space for all the accessories. There's SO many things to get but not nearly enough space to store it all. I also wish there were more games at the arcade, or that they alternated what games were available each day. Having the same 3 games every single day does get old. While the tama walk feature is cool, I find that it often thinks I'm not walking when I actually am. I have to hold it in my hand and shake it or keep checking on it to make sure my tama isn't just wandering randomly. ... show more

    • Fun but Screen Scratches too Easily

The Tamagotchi Uni itself is fun and I'd recommend. My major complaint is that the screen scratches very easily. I had to wait a couple days after I received the Uni before my screen protectors arrived. In that time, I did not touch or clean the screen. There was some dust on the screen when I was about to finally install the screen protector and with the provided alcohol wipes/Microfiber cloth, the dust that was already on my Uni scratched the crap out of the screen with little pressure. Luckily, with the screen protector on it's not as noticeable but I was shocked at the low quality of the material used for the screen. My recommendation would be to not open the Uni until you have a screen protector and immediately install a protector after opening so that no dust has a chance to scratch the screen. ... show more
