Very nostalgic to the old tamagotchi I love how they brought back some of the old stuff from the older gens! The design is ok, i think I preferred connections design but I love the design within the tamagotchis egg. The sound and designs are great for a small little device and pretty durable if your kid drops it. Definitely id say for all age ranges because even when you're too busy you can hire a babysitter which is great for when I'm in classes. Definitely fun with the amount of games that come in it. Screen brightness and noise is up to up as it allows you to edit it.

I've been a nerd for these little eggs since I was 7 years old (as well as Digimon. I've had several of different generations and breeding pairs and a few JDM exclusives. My favorite so far was the Tamagotchi Plus Color, which was a Japanese exclusive. It was the first with a color screen. It had in-game goals and rewards and collections and new games to unlock; it really pushed the device forward. It had some of the most addictive minigames. They weren't super innovative, themselves, but they were the most fun and involved minigames in a Tamagotchi, yet. The arrow-shooting game was my favorite. What held it back was a lack of Tama and a lack of things to collect, overall. I was able to 100% collect everything within a few months and then it felt too simple, even the games I enjoyed became too easy just from repetition. This Tamagotchi is definitely the evolution of that and better in almost every way. There are hundreds of default Tama and tens of thousands of combinations if you breed them. The in-game rewards and stores are more expansive, if missing some of the more quirky locations. There is a bit more customization for your home and you can "collect" multiple bioms and planets for your Tama to live in. I wish some of the games I played with the Tama were more engaging, though the walk game is fun. There are more minigames in the "TamaLab" though, which makes up for that. There is also the benefit in that the TamaLab games don't interfere with your care routines, if you're trying to get a specific Tama. I'm really happy to see Bandai keep the toys going and innovating without changing what makes the toys special. And to bring their more advanced, color Tamagotchis to other markets and languages.

Honestly, a really fun tamagotchi to add to your collection! I love the twisty mechanic and the different fields that you can raise your tamas in! I ordered the Blue Water version and it’s very lovely. I highly recommend since it’s full of games, characters, and you can breed your tamas again.

I have been collecting Tamagotchi for a while, I own models of all the different colored tamas (On/Meets, Uni, 4u etc) and this one is honestly the best. The amount of mini games and the whole plot (if we can call it that) is very unique compared to others. You're essentially building up a whole tama planet and populating it as a "researcher" for the tamagotchi lab. The graphics are very smooth as well when compared to older colored tamas, it is definitely an upgrade even from the Uni. This model is also rather large, just slightly bigger than the Pix. This model went back to using AAA batteries which although a mild pain to have to swap them out I do prefer it as I do not have to worry about the inevitable battery deteriorating which occurs with any rechargeable battery over time. So far it seems the battery lasts at least 2 days with heavy usage (I play on the device for about 3-4 hours a day, sometimes 5. Sound on lowest setting or off and medium brightness) I would also like to mention that the buttons feel very solid and the quality of the shell feels great, it doesn't feel like it will break easily if cared for well. I am happy that the buttons do require some force to press as older models even the slightest tap would have the tama turning on lol. I love how the minigames are playable even while the tama is asleep, plus you can choose to let your tama sleep early or wake up a bit early too, some of the tamas always went to sleep too late for my schedule and woke up when I was at work, but now I don't have to worry about that since the tama can go with my schedule. I haven't even unlocked all the features yet and it already has way more games/activities available than older models. I can't wait for the restock so I can get a blue and pink one too!

I knew I would love this so there’s no surprise there. Super cute, great size and feels sturdy. Great for kids and adults. I have yet to use it for long to say anything about battery life but will update. Works great, wheel is smooth and everything feels really intuitive.

Absolutely love this Tamagotchi! I was never able to own one as a kid so when I found out this one through a friend, I couldn't resist. I love that you have the option to have multiple tamas in one field and that you can also nurture tamas in other fields. It's definitely kept me busy since getting it some weeks ago. Still haven't tried the connect option, but soon. Love that its color and that breeding mixes traits from the tamas you breed. It's just really cool and well thought out. So worth the buy, I really really hope they restock on the Jade one because that's the one I really wanted from the beginning but by the time I made the purchase it was gone.

Box arrived a little beat up but the Tamagotchi itself is great! I love how it seems to be a little less needy than previous iterations but also needy enough that it keeps me busy. I love the color and backlit screens and that I can adjust the volume and brightness. I also love that the device saves the "game" when batteries run out and replacing the batteries (2xAAA) is so simple!
