THESE ARE TOTALLY FABULOUS!!! I bought five of them: one for each front and back porch abd front porch, three for my great room (living room/kitchen combo). First of all 100% brightness looks like an operating room, and 10% is enough to see fine, although I would pick somewhere in the middle. The 4-watt color backing looks GREAT. They can be set to any color. On Autism awareness day, I put them to all blue, for instant, but all five could be a different color. Here's a tip: Go to the effect, "Dazzling" on the scene panel (the other two selections are white and color) part, hit edit. Add all the available colors by hitting the plus button and choose up to all 8 available, there's a further slide bar that controls speed on the bottom. Slide all the way to the right. IT IS THE MOST AMAZING LIGHT SHOW THAT 'DAZZLES' EVERY VISITOR I HAVE!! Play with the settings and find one you love. I wouldn't have figured it out, but the neighbor came over and he is an artist and he came up with it. I am going to look for other combos, and I'm sure there's so many I haven't even thought of with my current fave "Go-To" look. I have two other units in the bedroom that are LED that I bought at Lowe's, but there are no where as cool as these, and I regret not getting these for there. However, I started with those rooms as both my EL CHEAPO construction bargain basement LED fixtures burned out. So 2 of 7 were burned out, and I had to replace them quickly. But even though not as cool as these, and that the ones from Lowe's in the bedroom are motion sensitive and can be annoying, I figured one of the remaining five were going to burn out any day, so I should get similar, dimming LED lights for the other rooms. But if not for the initial purchase, I would not have realized how cool LED dimming lights were in your home. I saw these as Amazon's Choice, and I have NEVER gone wrong with Amazon's Choice. When these went in, they were vastly superior to the initial LED's for the bedrooms. I simply didn't want the option of motion sensing in other rooms, so I got these and they are beyond expectations. My light bill PLUMMETED from $120 to $49, which is at 59.17 PERCENT CHANGE (I am a math teacher). I could go on and on, but take my word for it, they are great. As if I had any complaint, one of the five, a small strip of red along the circle doesn't work, and it is blank when the color is red, and absent during the 'dazzling' display. But instead of going through the rigamarole of taking it down and shipping it back, I figured I was so elated with the overall purchase, and it was so minor, I am just living with it. Even the most perfect-seeming thing can have one flaw! So, I am 99.9999999999 % satisfied! I highly, highly, highly recommend theses. I control them with an Android and an iPhone, and I just bought the newest Alexa Show, two of them actually, to control my Ring doorbell and the new outdoor and indoor Blink security cameras I just ordered. Those, and the new Firestick I bought control the lights by voice. I bet my old Firestick does too, I just never tried that. I don't know if I can leave a follow-up message, but if so, I promise to tell Amazon-land how that worked out for me. So I say do not dealy. Add these to your cart today. I buy on Amazon almost each day, and one day I got so many UPS boxes I told my super-nice UPS driver, "Don't smoke pot then Amazon!" (It's legal here, but just a joke!) The 12-inch flush mount design fits well in bedrooms, hallways, and kitchens without looking bulky. The RGB color options are vibrant and the white light modes cover the full range from warm (2700K) to cool daylight (6500K), which is useful for setting mood or task lighting. Pairing with the app was straightforward and once connected, voice control through Alexa and Google Home works consistently without delays or dropout. The dimming range is smooth from about 10% to 100% brightness. Installation was quick with standard wiring and the fixture sits flush against the ceiling nicely. The light output is strong enough to adequately illuminate a medium-sized room. Review of TALOYA Smart Ceiling Light Flush Mount LED WiFi,Compatible with Alexa Google Home,Dimmable Low Profile Ambient Light Fixture for Bedroom Living Room Hallway Kitchen Nursery,12 Inch,RGB I bought this to replace a standard ceiling light in my hallway/laundry area. I had a smart bulb in the previous light, but it was not consistently functional with either Alexa or Google. The light connected right away using the Smart Home app, and Alexa and Google found it right away. This light reportedly worked with both, and I soon found out that it did, so far flawlessly. I am not a handyman but can do minor things, and this was easy enough for me to install. I found the installation easy with the exception of holding the light fixture up while I attached the wires. It should be noted that I do not have anyone to help, so you might need assistance. The instructions are straightforward in connections. There are two wires (no ground), a black and a white wire. The included hardware I found to be sufficient. The pictures I provided are hard to tell, but 2 are during daylight and 2 during nighttime (respectively in the photos). Also, respectively in each set are off and 100% settings, and then 50% and 100%. I don’t use the different colored settings, but I like that they are available. I did not try the different colors so I cannot comment on them. It sets almost completely flush with the ceiling. Yours might fit more closely. My old metal box fixture was slightly loose, and I did not try to find a way to secure it better, so that might have been the reason. I am happy with the fit, nonetheless. The light is very bright, is LED, saves electricity, and was reasonably priced for the features included. I do not find it to be the most aesthetically pleasing, but it’s not bad. ... show more

My installation problems came from my old house, not from the product. It's well built, feels solid, very easy install. I did have some problems connecting to the app. Using the instructions provided on their YouTube channel the light was not being detected, so I had to use an alternate method where I set the light to produce a wi-fi signal, then my phone connected to the light, then the phone was able to detect the device and complete the setup. Now that it's installed - I'm very happy. The main light is nice and bright although because it's flush mounted with the white border, it doesn't quite fill the far corners of the room as well as my previous 7 inch glass light fixture (it's still a good tradeoff for the extra features and smaller profile for my basement with a low ceiling. The LED strip around the top is not very bright, but it's enough to navigate the room and has a nice atmosphere. The build quality exceeds my expectations and the functionality matches my expectations. I would buy like 3 more if they ever go on sale. ... show more

Updated Review 4.13.2023: I've purchased 10 of these lights and have them throughout my home and in multiple rooms (the larger version of the light). These lights have become a nightmare. I have contacted through the in-app support multiple times and received no help. I have left reviews and asked questions here to no help from the company. The latest update CONSTANTLY disconnects the lights. It acts like bluetooth instead of wifi. Previously the devices I could control from anywhere. Even my other home 1700 miles away. Now, I have to be within a few feet of each device to control them and they disconnect moving but 1-2 feet away. So now I have 10 of these lights that used to work and I could control scenes from the app or with Alexa. Now they are all out of sync, can't connect to them, control them, switch them from RGB to an actual light without 5-10 minutes of troubleshooting. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME AND DO NOT BUY THESE. THE COMPANY DOES NOT SUPPORT IT'S PRODUCT OR CUSTOMERS. YOU WILL HAVE PROBLEMS AND HAVE MOUNTED LIGHTS IN YOUR HOME THAT DO NOT WORK. EVERYTHING IS RAN FROM A CHINESE COMPANY APP AND IT'S UPDATES ARE NOT QA TESTED BY ANYONE. Previous Review: I have about 10 of these lights. The ones I set up before, the app let me set the Mode:Scene so I can tap a button and have the Ambient RGB lighting cycle on dim. Now, I can only turn the light on or off, it does not allow me to set it ON > Mode: Scene. Which makes it annoying when I cannot easily switch between bright white lights and dim RGB lights. Please let me know how to fix or if your developers can create a bug to update the application and add back in the Mode:Scene option. I contacted through the support in the application but no one contacted me back.
