We bought this light for Zoom meetings. It clips handily on the back edge of the computer desk. The clip is very sturdy and holds well. The light itself is bright enough at fairly close range. It's NOT a ring light for professional portraiture and doesn't claim to be. Besides video conferencing, I could see it being used as a light for product photography. There's a nice range of brightness levels to choose from, and you can adjust the color temperature in three ways: cool, warm, and in-between. The cell phone holder uses a spring clip to hold the phone. It's a powerful spring that holds firmly. It widens to hold an iPhone 6+ without a case, but that's it. Anything wider won't fit. Just adding a thin case to my 6+ made it too wide for this holder. Note that the light is powered by a USB outlet. If you don't have an available USB slot on your computer, you'll need to add a powered USB hub to get more outlets or use a power adapter for a wall outlet. It is good, but 2 things: The clip can only be attached to border .5 inch thick and If the bulbs fail is no way just to replace them, you'll need to replace the entire thing.

For some strange reason whenever I put my phone on it, it falls forward, so it isn’t quite strong enough to hold it. Was pointless for me to buy so now it’s trash, it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do so maybe mine was just a crappy one.
