My son hates earbuds. He's only 8, and they're just very uncomfortable to him. He had a similar pair of headphones - at least in appearance - but he took them to school to use with his Chromebook. He has a tablet at home that he plays on, but my sanity demands a break from cartoon yelling sometimes. He needed a second pair. Out of the box, these look like your standard kids' headphones. The cups on the ears are nice and padded for comfort. The sound dampeners are essential, as your kid will crank that volume and cook their own ears. The problem here is that the cups are too small for my 8 year old. He won't wear them, saying they won't cover his whole ears (they don't) and they're not comfortable. The first thing I noticed about this set was the box. It was quite crushed, which would have been terrible if it was a gift. There's no plastic within the box to keep the structure during shipping. Anyway, aside from that, it says "my first headphones" in big childish letters. Fortunately, my 8 year old daughter didn't see this, because the last thing a girl her age wants is baby headphones. The box is where the negatives end though. The headphones themselves are durable, and comfortable. They adjust easily to fit a range of head sizes, from my 4 year old to my husband. The volume is limited so it doesn't hurt little ears. My daughter really likes them a lot more than the ear buds we bought her for school. And they fold up pretty well, so they don't take up a ton of room in her bag. These are much better than the last set we bought from Target, which I think was around 20 dollars, so it's a good deal too. ... show more

**update** these only lasted 4 months with fairly regular use. One ear became disconnected, and I had to duct tape it. I ordered these for my 7-year-old son so we have another set. He used these for remote learning but also to watch his cartoons on his little computer while I'm watching shows so I can get my mom time and a break and he doesn't feel neglected lol. These are for a smaller head and smaller ears. I actually wear these size myself too cheap to order adult ones, but they obviously are not that loud due to child protection. These are a tinge louder than the other child ones that I have but still a good level so your child does not blow out their ears. I definitely would not give adult ones the children because once they lose their hearing they won't get it back most likely and I have damage because of situations like this from my childhood. Anyway, the only problem is these do irritate his ears as they are just a little too small. I wear them and I can tolerate them for meditation, but obviously I have adult ears. If they made them just a little bit larger I think they would be better. I have the same problem with his other one so he just can't wear these long. I understand they are geared for children but maybe for children under 5 years or something. They are okay besides the ear thing. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I got a pair of these 3 years ago, when my daughter needed a pair for online classes .... but we did have to replace them. As long as I was super careful that she kept them at her desk, she did great and they worked fine. Great sound. But she took them to her room and was laying on the floor, rolled over and one side snapped. Not suppose to lay on them. For $14, these are awesome if you are careful with them. They don't take much roughing around though. We taped hers back together and she wore them for another year. So the sound system is very good. Made in China ... show more

I ordered these headphones for my granddaughters to try out. I quickly discoveredthat these headphones are a bit tight. The width of the headphones is where it's tight. My five year old granddaughter told me that it had squeezed her head but my two year old granddaughter had zero complaints. The sound quality is a bit boxy. If a child isn't listening to too much music I don't find it to be too much of an issue. The biggest issue I found with these headphones is that if the ear padding comes off, it is practically impossible to get them back on. There is a thin slit that you need to wrap the fabric around to replace the padding. I have yet to be able to replace it. If this issue can be resolved in future production then I definitely find that these headphones would be much better. This is the headphones biggest fault. If you're child takes the padding off then best of luck trying to get it back on. ... show more
