I used a measuring cup. The cup-capacity is only 5.5 oz. The Tea Pot can only hold 16 oz; without liquid squirting out of the spout. I reached out to the seller, to no avail. Amazon gave me a partial refund for not getting the sizes and capacity I paid for. AMAZON GETS 5 STARS!

This Taimei Teatime Ceramic Modern Black Teapot Set was purchased to replace one I accidentally broke. It is a very nice looking set and looks good on my shelf. The bottom cup is solid and sturdy but the teapot on top is lighter, although it feels like the same material and I believe it is simply not as thick. It unfortunately wobbles a little bit when I carry it and it does not keep the tea as warm as my original set did. I will continue to use this product until I find a replacement that is more sturdy and keeps my tea warmer longer. I could recommend this teapot set just for its looks and if you drink tea pretty fast, but it does not have the "heft" I want in a set such as this. ... show more
