Got this for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loves it! He said the drum felt good quality and it had nice bounce to it with the sticks. It also doesn't feel like you're going to break it by hitting it hard, which is nice for a game like Taiko! A few things of note! It does require a few hours of playing for it to become more "sensitive" and actually read your inputs with the sticks. After about a day of playing, he said the game registered his hits pretty consistently. And it is pretty easy to accidentally smack the buttons on the bottom of the drum while you're playing, so watch out for that too! It is VERY LOUD when you're smacking the drum! So, if that is a big deal to you, maybe wear some headphones or play in a secluded place where it doesn't bother other people. Obviously, there are better and more expensive drums you can buy if you're a diehard Taiko player, but for the quality and price, this one is a pretty good start! Pros: + Good quality drum and sticks + Satisfying drum hits + Very easy to connect with the Switch and even PC! + Good price for what you get. Cons: - LOUD - Button placement could be better - Needs about a day of playing to become "sensitive" - Instructions are all in Japanese, but there are tutorials on the internet, so this isn't really a problem! (These are all my own experiences and yours might be worse or better than mine.) ... show more

I have no regrets on this purchase at all! Only phenomenal things to say about it, i had a fear it would slide when i hit it hard since im a bigger person and i play rough but its super durable!

The product is fine, works great. Needs actual drum sticks for enthusiastic play- they won’t harm the drum controller- they just reduce the strike point so you get more accurate drumming. The shipping however! Amazon really do be chucking fully naked, plain as day, video game equipment on your doorstep in the city, like it is nothing. I’ve never EVER ordered a video game thing that came in JUST the packaging. Mostly everything comes in a protective, plain brown box. These fools just slapped a shipping label on the box and sent my baby out into the world on the word of god. Naked as baby Jay, and also right before Christmas, so you just know that high priced gleaming red Nintendo switch logo covered boxes love to stay exactly where you deliver them. I’d love to give 5 stars but it’s not just the product I ordered, I ordered a safe and competent delivery for it too. ... show more

    • Works great and is fun to play with
One gripe I have about this product is that there is a bit of a dead zone as you get closer to middle, but that problem gets quickly overlooked by all the fun I had playing taiko since Ive gotten it. It feels a lot more satisfying play this than the base switch controllers.
