If you can pick this up around $1K, it is a great overall value for a modest luxury-leaning watch that tributes to a few classics. For the non-watch lovers, this TAG uses a case shape based on the classic Heuer Autavia, with similar GMT function and coloring to the legendary Rolex GMT Master II (commonly called "Batman" or "BLNR"). Personally, with a 6.75 inch wrist size, I love the 41mm size, which should fit many wrists well. The dial is easy to read, the lume is good, and it has adequate water resistance. If there's any room for improvement, it's in the bracelet. The links are very simple overall, and could feel more robust. The clasp is the absolute worst part of this watch, as it's simply stamped and thin metal. The clasp is difficult to get on and off, too. TAG could do better. Knowing those limitations, though, it's still a great package for a watch you can wear with a t-shirt, but still dress up with a suit, even though it's sporty. ... show more

    • Tons of function for the money
First off, you're not going to get the Tag certification or warranty. That's why the watch is cheaper here than a Tag authorized retailer. The watch is also not going to check out on trusted.com for this same reason. As other reviewers have said you do get the 2 year warranty from amazon. You do get the Tag packaging including the original box. If you get the watch appraised it will check out. My wife bought me this watch as a gift and it's my first automatic movement luxury watch (entry level I know). The watch has a nice weight to it, not as heavy as other brands but a nice balance in my opinion. I would agree with others that the clasp is the worst part of the watch it is just thin stamped metal and is hard to open at times. Other than that the watch feels like a very high quality item. I do also wish the 24 hr bezel moved but it doesn't. The GMT function works well, at times it is hard to read as the gmt needle jumps between numbers in a quartz style movement so you just have to find which number on the outer bezel it's pointing closest to and you can read the gmt time. The watch will keep time for about 24 hrs without wear so I purchased a watch winder since I dont wear the watch every day. It's a nice way to display the watch and keep it wound at the same time. It keeps time fairly accurately, I find I have to adjust it from time to time (maybe once a month or so). I have heard this is pretty normal with automatic watches. Over the last year the band has held up well to scratches and the crystal is solid as well. I know I have banged it into things a few times and the crystal on mine is still flawless. The date function is not automatic and needs to be adjusted almost monthly when the month changes as with most watches I've owned. I travel a lot and another thing I like about this watch is that it doesnt have any traits that immediately identify it from a distance as an expensive watch. The magnified date window on a Rolex is a dead giveaway for potential thieves in my opinion. All in all, this watch had everything I was looking for at a really good price (GMT function, automatic movement and conservative styling). I did not realize that this watch did not operate by battery but motion! However, all is well since my husband actually liked this option. He wears is watch 24/7. It is not only attractive, masculine looking but the dial lights up at night. Excellent buy.

I will first say that I love amazon and will continue using it because of their excellent customer service. However, I will never make the mistake of buying a luxury time piece from amazon again, or any other online store for that matter. I knew the item would arrive without the original Tag Heuer WW warranty, but would have the amazon warranty instead. The price is attractive, everything else seems to be in order so I go ahead and order the watch. It arrived in a steaming hot box delivered by UPS. When I opened the box that seemed totally legit, High quality printing and clean package, the watch wasn't secure on the little pillow provided and was dangling inside the inner Tag H box. Watch was very high temperature like it was in the sun for a long while or something. I knew something was wrong with it I just couldn't put my finger on it. First I noticed a little scratch on the clasp, which I didn't mind. Then I noticed a very small scratch/ bubble/ dust on the inside of the crystal. At this point I was very upset. When I tried putting the serial into Tag Heuer's authentication web site - trusted.com the watch didn't come up. Also the clasp was SO tight once I put the watch on my wrist it was a two person effort to take it of, Iknew it can't be right... I called Amazon and sent the item back. They were very professional about it and refunded my money. I ended up going to a local NYC Tag Heuer authorized dealer and buying the same watch for $200 more then I payed amazon. Unlike the amazon version, it came with original Tag 2 year warranty, watch had plastic covers all over the face, clasp and bracelet. The clasp was smooth as butter and the serial number checked up immediately on trusted.com The Tag dealer said he had no clue how these watches end up at Amazon in the first place... ... show more

Returned this watch. The crown would not unscrew and would not pull out. Also, the watch did not come with a certificate of authenticity. All real Tags have a certificate of authenticity.
