    • Nice watch but with some technical design flaws
First, I received this watch as a gift and it was not purchased through Amazon, so this review does not include any aspects of the sale or shipping process. Given that Tag retailers and Amazon generally have excellent credit with most folks, this is probably not a concern. This watch is very handsome and eye-catching. It is reminiscent of something you might expect James Bond to wear, and a nod to Motorsport/F1 fans, with its sporty but still tough design and tachymeter functionality. It is a watch for a gentleman, and as suitable for a formal event as it is for a day on the track. Unfortunately, as a timepiece it has a few minor issues. The automatic charge mechanism is a bit loud, and you can feel it vibrating when it is active. This mechanism also seems to have an effect on the watch’s ability to keep exact time. The charge does not last very long, maybe a day or two, meaning this watch must be worn regularly in order to maintain the battery. The calendar function also requires a bit too much manual intervention. Even though there is a dedicated 12-hour chronograph dial, there is no similar 12-month dial, so whenever the month falls on a variance between 30 and 31 days, you have to change the date yourself. This is not a deal breaker on its own, however per the manufacturer’s manual, there is risk to damaging the calendar functionality if you set the date between 8pm and 2am. Given that this is not immediately obvious, someone could unknowingly damage the watch, simply in performing routine and expected maintenance.
