Definitely a good looking, warm, Jacket that Blocked the Excessive Wind gusts. The outter shell had a strong zipper covered by a protective flap buttoned on top and bottom Velcro in the middle. The inner lining is extremely soft, holding in warmth.

I don’t usually write Amazon reviews, but this jacket earned one. I needed a warmer winter coat ASAP because mine weren’t cutting it. Costco options were affordable but underwhelming on warmth and style. Local sporting goods stores had better options — but at much higher prices. I found TACVASEN on Amazon (a brand new to me), saw the strong ratings and purchase volume, and decided to give it a shot. I ordered a Large. The fit is excellent overall. My only minor preference would be slightly longer sleeves — they’re not short, just a touch shorter than I’m used to. Everything else fits perfectly, and I wouldn’t size up. The biggest win: warmth. This jacket is significantly warmer than my previous winter coats. I’ve worn it in cold temps, snow, and light rain, and it’s performed great. It feels well insulated and solidly constructed. It has multiple pockets (2 concealed zipper pockets, 1 chest, 1 internal). The concealed zippers give it a clean, streamlined look and likely help prevent snagging. Unexpected bonus: I chose the black/white/gray camo pattern, and since buying it, I’ve received 3–4 unsolicited compliments — including one person saying it “looks expensive.” That never happened with my older, similar-looking jacket. This coat is perfect for the winter time. It is waterproof and lined on the inside. It isn’t too bulky. It keeps you warm and gets the job done. Love it.

    • Great coat with very minor issues

Great winter coat, however as a ski jacket it is lacking a few things and has a couple issues. First there is no pocket on the arm for a lift pass, most resorts are going to RFID cards and this coat really doesn't have a convenient pocket for one, Also the zippers are great with the water proofing but it seems to have started getting a sticky zipper leading to difficulty opening and closing it. I have also noticed that there is some fabric wear on one arm cuff that isnt present on the other, no idea how this happened and it doesnt affect much other than some water proofing around the wrist. Those two things bring this down to a 4 star for me. However there is a lot to like about this jacket, the size is true fit i did not need to go up or down in size, it is also very wind resistant, I have hit over 50mph on the slopes wearing this and i stay warm and comfortable. And speaking of warm this coat is great, 20 degree nights with a thermal top and tee shirt kept me warm all night with this coat, if it gets colder than 20 a sweater on under will increase the warmth. The interior fleece helps keep this jacket toasty. there are enough pockets but again there is some minor zipper issues. I will probably be replacing this only due to the wear in the fabric on the arm with a proper snowboarding coat, but for the $50 i spent on it its been better than coats Ive spent $100 on ... show more

Run a bit in the large side but but I don’t mind because I like to wear a hoodie under my jackets. Not super bulky but well insulated keeps the cold out super wind resistant of you the zipper feels great not on the cheap side love it so far good size pockets

Purchased for a January trip to Scotland. This jacket was incredibly warm and well made. I’m very happy with the purchase and recommend. One review said for above 32* this definitely can go colder than that. Often temps were 30-40 day time and colder in the evenings and early mornings this jacket was perfect. It was wind resistant, water resistant ( did no leak in rain storms) I ordered my normal size and it fit great! ... show more
