I bought this for a recent trip to Chicago during late January and this jacket held up great, kept me warm throughout my trip, though admittedly the weather was relatively mild for Chicago at the time of my trip. Jacket has a lot of functional pockets, deep enough to hold my iphone plus with battery case, though i wish the outer pockets were a little larger as it might be hard if you have large hands. The size appears to be true. The layers were thick enough to block the Chicago winds, but mind you it wasn’t below 10F, and the outer shell was impervious to a snowball fight. The removable hood works well and the labeling is subtle, not over-bearing. Also, the zipper is on the right side, i guess the manufacturer corrected it for the US market, great job! Warm and fits well. I like how it's made and keeps the cold out. The lining is nice and soft with 2 pockets for your wallet or phone. Zips fairly easy and the outer flap velcro closed. Will buy again when the need arises.

Ridicules price and a whole lot of quality. Easily a $300. Winter jacket all day. I wear mine a lot in 7’ weather. Snow, rain, wind. The jacket performs AWESOME. And it’s mad warm. Go a size bigger if you plan to layer up.

    • Real Review - Good Jacket with some quirks

I didn't get paid to write this, I didn't get any gift cards or anything. I'm only writing this to inform others who might buy this jacket. It's a good jacket, it's warm, and generally pretty comfortable. I liked my old Columbia jacket better, but this is a decent replacement. Here are the weird quirks about it though: 1. It's left handed, somehow. The zipper needs to be zipped up with your left hand, and it's a bizarre way to design a jacket. I don't think I've ever had one like this. 2. The collar flap...thingy...on the top left kind of stick in your face if you don't zip the jacket all the way up. It seems like it ought to lay flat, kind of like a golf shirt's collar points, but it just sort of sticks in your face. 3. The hood is hard to reach to pull up over your head, but it is quite warm. Otherwise, I'm pleased with it, and for the price it's pretty good. ... show more

Don't usually write reviews, but this jacket has earned one. It's difficult to find a good coat with heavy water resistance that isn't a rubber suit, so I was pleasantly surprised. Its comfortable and looks very clean. I consistently get compliments for it, bit that wasn't really a selling point. Due to my job I spend a considerable time in heavy rain or cold, or both. I've had this coat for about 3 months now, and the waterproofing still holds. I'd say about four hours in a heavy downpour before it starts to soak through at the shoulders. The fuzzy lining hasn't worn off on any of my clothes, thats pretty well built too. I think my only complaint would be the generic cosmetic tags. They just aren't necessary and I think the jacket would look a bit cleaner without random patches that just say outdoor on them. ... show more

Don't normally leave reviews but this coat is amazing. Ordered for a trip to iceland in winter and it kept the wind and cold at bay. Wore only a regular t-shirt and this coat to test it and was pleasantly surprised by how warm it kept me. I did not have any bad stitching or anything wrong with the coat.
