These seem decent enough as far as build quality and utility, but thy fit the waist smaller than any other 34 I own. I suppose if I lose 20 pounds I can wear these. Plenty of pockets etc.

They are kind of heavy, but that is expected since they are tactical pants. Plenty of pockets and extra protection in the important parts. They fit a little snuggle on me (size 36), but it is just because I'm use to more stretchy pants.

The MERJAZ Tactical Pants are functional and are of very good quality. The fit is true for U.S.A. men's size measurements. They are made of water and moisture resistant fabric material. These pants have no buttons on them, and have a front waistband velcro to zipper opening. The pants feature the standard front pockets and rear seat pockets that have a square of velcro on their flap closure’s outer corner. They don’t have a small watch or change pocket in the front right pocket section. The front pockets have an inside strap that runs up down direction that is attached through a plastic buckle on a short strap and secured with velcro. I found that the plastic buckle by itself is good for attaching my key ring clip to. The strap when attached through the buckle works well for attaching a Nite Ize S-Biner that I also use to hold keys. This allows the keys to hang outside of the front pockets and frees up space for other items. This velcro strap is meant to secure items in the front pockets so that they are less likely to fall out. There are medium sized velcro strip flap closure pockets in the center of the thigh area on both sides. There are large equal sized cargo pockets with flap closures secured by two large sections of velcro on both sides towards the back of the thigh that have a smaller shorter pocket inside under the flap closure. There is also another pair of pockets with a one section of velcro flap closure on the side of the calf areas. The knee areas feature an opening where knee pads or knee protection can be fit inside that has the soft side of velcro sewn around the four edges to attach to. There are also velcro straps on the calves on the sides and at the bottom hem to pull the loose areas of material in the legs and ankles tight. I really like wearing the black, tan and gray camouflage scheme. In a tactical application it allows for blending in with shadows and a burnt up or destroyed landscape. The pants came new with several loose threads that need to be trimmed off with some sharp scissors. With the clothes I wear if there is a thread long enough I usually tie a couple knots to anchor it in place using tweezers and a mini flathead screwdriver as close to the fabric as possible before I cut trim threads so that the stitches stay in place and don’t unravel. I ordered the larger of the two waist sizes I usually wear, depending on the brand and type, and the corresponding inseam length is perfect for my tall height, although the waist is loose fitting and I have to wear a belt. These are a well made and thought out design pair of tactical pants and are of a great fit for me.
