I bought this bag about a year ago. In that time I've used it as an EDC bag and a travel bag. I chose this bag for a few reasons. I wanted a tactical bag because they have the PALs webbing, giving you a lot of options for adding expansion pouches or hooking things to the outside of the bag. Also, tactical style bags are typically very durable. 24L seemed a good size for a daily carry with some extra space. It also has a bunch of spots for velcro patches. I've collected a bunch of patches over the years so I swap them out periodically. Then there is the price. It was cheap. I had seen it and saved it when it was $33 or $34. Then it popped up again at a reduced price so getting it for $30 with tax. I figured, if the bag sucks then I'm only losing $30. It has a lot of compartments for organization, which I liked. It has a 24L carry capacity making it a good sized bag for day to day use because it's not too big. It works great as an overnight bag because its big enough to pack a change of clothes, shoes and some hygiene stuff. You can even fit a second day's worth of clothing... Depending on the season. Colder weather requires thicker clothes. EDC: I take it with me to work daily. It has enough room to carry all my stuff. I always bring a 32 oz tumbler that I put in the drink pouch. I have an insulated lunch bag that I put in the bag. There's plenty of room for me to put my hoodie in the bag too. It's got more than enough room for an EDC bag. It can fit a 15" laptop but it's gonna be a tight fit. I wouldn't suggest putting a laptop in it on a regular basis. The bottom of the bag does not have any padding so you would have to be very concious about how and where you place your bag if you have a laptop in it. Travel: this bag has been pretty good as a travel bag. I used it as a personal bag when flying out of the country. I used it as a carry on and a day bag for excursion when I went on a cruise. I needed extra space so I was able to attach my old Army butt bag to the bottom of it, giving me more storage on one bag rather have to carry an extra, separate bag. During one trip we got stuck outside in a rain storm. It rained on us for at least an hour and the bag did well to repel most of the water. The contents inside the bag stayed dry. There was some dampness on the inside of the bag material after all that rain. Had we been out in the rain longer with that amount of precipitation my stuff would have gotten wet I mentioned a bunch of "Pros" about the bag but it does have a few minor drawbacks. Considering the fact that it's a 24L bag it can hold a good amount of stuff but the space inside feels a bit cramped. The bag, overall, feels bulky considering the size and carry capacity. If you want an EDC bag with a small profile this may be a bit on the bulky side for you. It didn't fit that easily under the seat in an airplane. Someone mentioned the shoulder straps being a bit uncomfortable and sliding off. They were right. It doesn't sit that well on your shoulders. It's ok if you only carry it from your vehicle and walking to the building you work in. If you're going for a hike you'll definitely want to use the chest clip to keep from having to constantly adjust. Some padding on the bottom of the bag would be nice. I don't carry electronics like a laptop or camera equipment anymore so it's not deal breaker for me but padding would help sometimes. The pull tabs on the zipper could be bigger. The zippers themselves seemed like they might fail. After a year of use it's been fine but I expect issues in the future. By then I will definitely have gotten my $30 worth out of the bag. The drawbacks are few and minimal. Especially for the price and durability of this bag. Totally worth the $30 something dollars

Will echo the feelings of some of the other reviews here. For 27 dollars, I think this bag is great. The outside appears to be fairly standard polyester weave, which is nothing fancy, but is durable enough for most peoples use and should hold up to plenty of abrasion. Zippers are noname, but also appear to be solid (which is a pretty big deal considering how many this backpack has). Zipping around corners can be tricky as mentioned, but this is more due to the rigid structure of the backpack in conjunction with the zipper protectors surrounding the zippers, so I personally don't find this a flaw. This backpack is fairly small, thus shouldn't be overloaded, so I think the shoulder straps should be plenty comfortable for its intended weight carry. Stiching and clips seem decent enough as well. Molle straps feel like they can hold to some decent weight. The materials on the inside feel cheap, but functional. The nylon divider material doesn't appear to be ripstop, and the meshing doesn't feel the most resilient. But again, for normal use and for the price, these should not be actual issues for most people. I mostly wanted a cheap backpack that would make a "travel edc" bag, that could serve both on the plane and in the airport, as well as walking around the city touring. I will use the molle on the bag to clip my additional duffel bag to myself as I walk from Grand Central to Penn Station as I move through NYC to JFK (if anyone can relate to that travel commute, the things I do for cheap plane tickets). I like all the organization pockets for "airport day" so having various compartments of shapes and sized makes it easy to keep food, clothing, electronics, passport, misc all organized and in its place when blitzing from train, to foot to plane to cab etc. I also wanted a backpack to keep immediate items with me on the plane while my duffel bag is stored in the overhead. Hoodie, travel pillow, snacks, water etc. Overall, I like the design and featureset, especially given the price. A more expensive backpack would be constructed with nicer materials, so if that is important to you, or if you truly plan to EDC this bag every day and really put it through the ringer, you may want to look elsewhere. I think for a bug out bag or travel bag (a bag you truly dont use EVERY day), the durability and construction should be "plenty fine"...

So, these are very decent light duty day packs for the money. I have two dedicated to "get home" bags for each of my daughters. They hold just enough for that purpose. Day hikes or general travel up to a couple of days these will do quite well. These are not intended for longer, multi-day, bring absolutely everything trips. They just are not big enough nor should they be. So the pack itself is well constructed. The zippers seem ok and have not failed yet but I suspect these will be the first thing that will fail as zippers and buckles are always the weak point of almost all backpacks. The molle on the outside is nice, I have used it to attach a FAK. The morale patch area is nice too, I have utilized that as well. The water compartment is designed very well and allows me to use a 2L bladder with the hose neatly tucked on one of the straps. The other compartments are well thought out and I appreciate the inner pockets and other areas to organize as well as the drain holes and strap anchors on the bottom. Thats nice attention to detail. The left and right shoulder straps themselves are good and reasonably adjustable and well padded. If you carry steel plates, or lead bars or gold bullion with this you might consider something more substantial but for less than 20lb of pack weight you should be ok. The one thing perhaps that I think is not well designed is the strap that connects both shoulder straps to prevent the pack from sliding off. Thats a dinky little piece of nothing and is an afterthought on a walk of shame. Seriously, it's awful but it works... barely. But aside from that, the backpack is quite good. I mean, I eventually bought two so that says something I suppose.

I got this because tactical backpacks are so useful because of their size & abilities. Mille system on this can let me attach accessories & more storage, it’s not waterproof but I haven’t had issues with it in brief rain or splashed on water or liquids, washer machine friendly, build quality is amazing, durable, rugged, great price point for what you get, versatile for anything you want to do, plenty of space & lots of different style storage pockets for anything you have, different straps & adjustable straps, & it’s light-weight. It’s the size of a normal backpack. I have 2 of these at the moment but probably will get more. I use mine for scuba diving gear, hiking, camping, fishing, going to a friend’s house, doing stuff on the hunting property, boating, jet skiing, snow sports, shooting range, & keep an empty one in my truck tool box for if I ever need one on hand. I say it’s right there with 5.11 Tactical. They have been in different environments & had withstood all of it, all I did was empty it out & toss it in the washing machine & I was good to go. Overall I am very happy with this purchase & would highly highly recommend it!

Been using this backpack for about a year. It's held up beautifully through daily use. And I usually lug around some decently heavy stuff. It's been through all elements and usually keeps my stuff relatively dry. The straps have held up and expand to a pretty good size so it's good for bigger dudes. All in all super satisfied and if I ever need to I'd even spring for the bigger model. The material is decently thick with double stitching and rugged design choices throughout. Zippers have also help up nicely.

I just got this bag in today and it looks and feels very well made. The zippers are nice and the material seems good. I really wanted a nice, smaller sized bag that I could use daily for school, hiking, or just for normal day-to-day usage. I will update if and when I get any problems with wear. So if you don't see an update, it's holding up well. Some things that kind of bug me about the bag...I kind of wish the padding in the shoulder straps were thicker. The padding for your back and for the hand strap are nice and thick which I really like but the padding for the shoulder straps feels a little lacking in comparison. That's not to say the backpack is uncomfortable, just that it would have been nicer with a little more padding there. Also the lip over the zipper for the main compartment makes it a little annoying to zip & unzip. You could say it's a nice security measure but I think most people would go for the smaller compartment first anyways. Overall, the small gripes I had with the bag don't give me enough reason to take it down a star. It's a very nice bag that is comfortable for daily use and very affordable. If it's a little small for you, you can always add molle pouches for more space. Hopefully you don't hear from me again for the wear/tear update! 2-Week update: I have been using it every day for mild use, just to lug stuff around. Not too much stuff or anything heavy. It has held up so far, but what I have noticed is that the main compartment zipper is really annoying to open/close, IMO. Also, some of the inner zipper mesh compartments keep getting messed up so that the compartment is open on both sides of the zipper. I usually zip it "open" all the way and then close it, which has fixed it so far but it keeps happening...with barely anything in the pocket. Still, a decent backpack and the price is nice but...you could probably do better. Would probably return for something a bit better but shipping is gonna be 1/3 of the price of the bag so...might as well keep it at that point lol.
