Description

The FIRMAN H08051 Dual Fuel Portable Generator offers long-lasting performance and power on demand. It is best used for work-site and emergency power. It can run on gasoline or propane fuel, giving you flexibility while out on the road or during an emergency. The durable compact roll-cage frame design is made with 1.2” steel tubing. It runs at 74 dB and is California emissions certified. It has a FIRMAN Max-Pro Series OHV engine for longer life, higher performance, and lower maintenance. The engine runs cool and efficient thanks to its Phoenix Fat Head Block. The engine features a cast iron sleeve for long durability and automatic low oil shutdown protection. The quiet Whisper Series muffler has a USDA FS certified spark arrestor. This generator also features a Volt-Lock Automatic Voltage Regulator and an integrated gasoline fuel gauge. The conveniently located multi-featured control panel has FIRMAN custom designed outlet covers to protect the outlets from dirt, dust, and debris. The 3-in-1 Data-Minder monitors running hours, voltage, and frequency. Heavy duty oversized flat free wheels and a high leverage single folding handle provide for easy maneuvering. A 5 ft. LPG hose with regulator is provided for convenience when running off of a larger propane tank. Bonus accessories include engine oil, oil funnel, and tool kit. A battery is also included for your convenience.

    • Works Flawlessly
Excellent Generator . It is noisy ... But its a generator after-all . Living in the Eastern Sierra where SCE loves to shut off power to an entire region you definitely need a generator and this is a very good one . The reason for 4 stars is because it came damaged . The handle was bent and needed repairing and there where parts hanging by the wiring . Was this from poor shipping or poor packaging ... couldn't tell . Would still recomend it . ... show more

    • Great product but to loud
if you have a large travel trailer and 50amps this is the product for a back up energy solution. The only draw back is that it's really loud. Other than that it's strong last a long time. I find it very dependable.

Amazon delivered it on time and with out a scratch. I had it up and running within 30 min. Started great on propane. It is a lot bigger than I was thinking. Very heavy. And very very loud. It was running @ 76 db. on the grass. I put a small load on it. and it seems to work great. I will be connecting it to the new house panel soon, then test the real load. You need ear plugs when close to it. So far happy. I wish it had a Amp meter or a Watt meter, There is no way of telling if you are getting close to it's limit? ... show more

We are in N. California and power outages will become the new norm. Unit was delivered and I had the wheels on, oil in and ready to go in about 20 mins. I chose the dual fuel unit so it could be hooked up to my main (200 gal) propane tank and not have to worry about gasoline storage or running out for it. It started up on the second try and was smooth sailing after that. Not as loud as my neighbors, but will install it in a permanent location that will not be too disturbing.     • Mostly does the job
I like that it mostly works great. It runs on gasoline much better than on propane. With propane it inexplicably dies periodically even when there is plenty of propane left in a tank. No problems like that with gasoline. Easy to start and it runs our well which is a big deal to us.

    • The sound level and electric start is a huge plus!
I have three generators and this one is my favorite! The noice level is considerably lower than most. It is pretty heavy but the folding handle and the tires make it fairly easy to move around. I use this everyday at work to power my camper/office so the electric start is a major plus! The dual fuel is nice however if you use propane I recommend getting a large propane tank, the propane does go rather quickly. I can usually run it on gas for about 10 hours on one tank. ... show more

It is on the heavy side. I set up the Gen with oil and hooked up propane an it fired right up. I turned off power to house and switched to Gen power it had more than enough power to run the whole house. It can handle the AC but you have to turn off other heavy power draw applances Would buy again
