6 day elk hunt! The 80l fit all my gear and was comfortable the whole hunt. It has been a great pack. Bought the 60l bag from spika.us and it works great on the same frame. Rain cover works great pockets are big so i got some smaller bags for my kill kit and emergency gear. Tough as nails stuff from spika and its quiet no squeaky joints like the badlands. Should last for years and years.

The Amazon box itself was in terrible condition...BUT I blame my ups driver for that...The pack was well packaged in plastic. Once I opened it I went over the pack and the parts/pieces closely. This thing is very very well made. Clips seem strong, stitching was 10/10. The camo "biarri" pattern is awesome, honestly wish I could get clothing that matched. Material is soft and very quiet. I adjusted the back down a little (I'm 5'4") and the fit is perfect. Lot of adjustability for the pack and the frame. I believe the shipping weight was just a hair over 6 lbs, Amazingly light feeling when I wear it walking around the neighborhood. You will spend twice or three times the amount for a domestic brand. This company will do well with North American hunters no doubt. Hoping to get the bino case to match also. I have not take it into the field yet, I will try to update after a couple hunts.

Bought this last min as I learned not all hiking bags straps adjust for height. My SO has 2 badlands bags and I planned to use one until we learned this. I was skeptical bc I had never heard of this brand. I ordered the 80L and 40L to compare. I have a 65L for hiking but needed something that’d carry meat for my week long hunting trip. I went with the 40L as I was able to fit my belongings and no matter how much I adjusted the 80L, it wouldn’t comfortably fit my 5’2” frame. I loved that the bag detached from the frame. I was able to use it for all my day hikes with ease without completely unloading my gear. When detaching you’re only left with 2 hip pockets so I attached my camel back backpack for added storage and it worked perfectly! I love the adjustments. I wasn’t able to test its meat hauling ability sadly. It would be nice if you could attach your rifle without the pack (maybe you can but I didn’t see how). I also would love some type of a blaze orange cover like I’ve seen on other packs. I used my orange vest over it and that worked as well. I would totally even use this for a regular backpacking trip if needed.

First off, I haven't packed meat with this pack yet ( bc I didn't killnan elk last year) but I have weighted it down for hikes and back country trips. It fits great for its price point. I did a few mods but nothing big. I raised the load lifters up to the next loop for more angle. Blacked out the orange stitching and ordered black zipper pulls. I also added an Eberlestock stuff pouch towards the back of each side on the belt. I also got the bino and extra straps for it. The bino seems a bit bulky and heavy but it's not bad. To be fair, I have the Eberlestock mainframe and all the accessories and prefer the fit, weight, gun carrier vs scabbard, padding, and load lifters of this Drover pack. It just fits nice! I really wanted to like the mainframe over the Drover hence all the accessories for it but the load lifters are flat, it's heavy, the scabbard is too tight with a bag zipped over it, and you can't reach back and rip it out as needed and bulky and less padding in the straps than the Drover. I don't like it as much even with all the goodies. I also have a Nimrod pack that is sweet. My fave for quick hunts or just quick back to get something to haul the meat out vs packing it. It's not set up for that just pursuit. It also has a great scabbard that minimal but holds the gun at an angle just over a shoulder for easy reach over and be on point. I will try a Safari along with it this year. Should be good. However, if I end up going deep the the Drover is next in line.

I was skeptical, but did a whole bunch of research prior to purchase. This pack is absolutely amazing and the price is unbelievable. The only thing this pack lacks compared to its competitors, (Exo, Mystery Ranch, etc,) is the amount of pockets it has. Could be annoying to some but not me. It’s very minimal on the pockets but plenty of room to use different stash bags for all your things. Would recommend this product for anyone. Been elk hunting since I was old enough to do so and I don’t see anything this pack would need added to it that I can’t live without. I will be buying extra buckles and straps for the other lashing points but that’s a minimal purchase and probably unnecessary. The 80L is huge but compresses to a smaller manageable size. And because it’s not wide on the back, even when it’s loaded down, it’s not awkward on the back.

I've tested out a lot of high-end packs searching for something that does it all, comfortability, custom ability as far as fit goes, durability, quietness, and something that feels like a part of my body when it is on my back in the back country and this pack checks all those boxes and then some. This thing is durable! Not to forget the meat shelf it comes with which has a rather large carrying capacity and the ability to detach the 80l and be able to attach other size rucks from Spika on to the frame depending on your hunt duration or style. The material it's made of is extremely durable yet the quietness I have come across it doesn't make much noise at all which is a huge advantage to me when hunting elk. This pack beats out any mystery ranch, kuiu, eberlestock, etc. pack that I have ever tested on my back and put through rigorous hunts don't hesitate to buy it Spika makes a killer hunting pack!

Absolutely love this pack! Worth every dollar. Exceptional quality. Exceptional stability. Extremely comfortable. If I had to give a request, I want more pockets. But it really doesn't matter with this things size and accessibility to any part of it. Excellent hunting pack.
