I purchased this to use in my camper van. It allows me to watch my movies, streaming services, etc while I lay in bed, while I cook meals or just hang out in the woods. I read in some reviews that it is hard to manuever into position; that it is stiff. It does what it's supposed to do. Hold my tablet in whatever position I chose to put it in- and it stays where you put it! It does take some effort to to adjust, but at least I know it will stay put wherever I want. I tried some other stands to mount a Pico projector above my desk for projecting artwork for copying. Precision is pretty important, and this will put the picture where you want it and keep it there.

It is sturdy and works well. My kindle fits in it, even with the case on. It clips on easily to all of the surfaces I have tried. The only thing that is a little difficult is the bendy part. It is a little hard to get it bent where you need it.

This product was one of my happiest purchases. I was so excited to just be able to play games on my switch before bed without my arms getting tired or having my phone out of the way while listening to an audiobook for sleep. It would stay in place and the difficulty maneuvering it didn’t bother me because I understood that’s how it stayed. Then one day it just snapped. I guess at some point I moved it too much and the wire inside gave out. I’m not quite sure what happened or when it happened, but I tried to move it today and it kept falling then eventually the plastic casing snapped and I saw what had occurred. So it lasted me two very happy months, but I don’t know whether those two months were worth it or not. ... show more

Bought this because it specifically lists "12.9" devices....but it can not support the weight of the iPad Pro 12.9. The case that I have has a pencil holder on the side. This mount bends the pencil part of my case (see picture). FYI, the mount can not stretch longways to hold iPad from top to bottom, only side to side. Maybe a different case could be used in conjunction with this mount, but it wouldn't solve the ultimate problem between this mount and an iPad Pro 12.9. The gooseneck is difficult to contort but even when you find a seemingly good angle, the iPad will immediate drop at least an inch or two upon release, and then, over time, will slowly fall. I was able to use this for maybe 5 minutes at an ideal handsfree position, and then had to use one hand to prevent it from inching closer to my face. For those looking to use this for lighter devices. I really like the clamp, it's easy to open and close and is sturdy enough. And the tightener on the back of the mount to loosen and tighten rotation is easy to use. ... show more

I was nervous when I saw that the gooseneck is pretty stiff, but I ordered anyways. It is stiff but once it is in position it will not droop at all and stays sturdy in place. It’s perfect if you need it to stay still and don’t need to adjust it a lot.

So I originally bought this for me for my kindle and I loved I however ended up having to give it to my daughter for her kindle and ordered me a new one I'm an idiot and didn't order this one for the second time and I hate my new one and will eventually have to replace it with this one

I have the Samsung S7+ tablet and with the case I have it in it's HEAVY! It's finger cramping to hold for long periods. This stand has a very thick, stiff arm that you need some force to bend to position. If you just extend it straight out anywhere it will wobble like hell. You need to bend it at angle/s to reduce the wobble to a manageable minimum. At that point you can just just effortlessly loosely touch/hold it to eliminate the wobble. LOVE IT! ... show more
