I've never had a tablet before. The limited experience I've had with using other people's tablets is mostly from when they haven't been functioning properly or keeping a charge, so I've considered them problematic. At least just another expensive device that I didn't want to have to deal with personally. I had just spent a lot of hours restoring my elderly parents Samsung Galaxy Tab to usable and figured I'd try out this fresh little device to see how well a budget tablet can perform without the name brand price tag and my internet-naive and will click on anything parents. I can't speak to any technical specs, but as a novice tablet owner, I'm impressed with this device. The tablet feels durable and well made. The screen is smooth and glossy. The tablet and included power cable and outlet adapter were packaged securely to avoid any damage. Setup only took a few minutes and I had it up and running. The screen is responsive and the picture quality is quite nice, to my novice eyes. The interface is easy for me to navigate and responsive. I spent some time navigating on social media, browsing news and checking my email. Each page loaded quickly without delay on a high speed connection. I even went on to use services I don't usually use unless I'm at home. I logged into my provider's streaming services page and chose an episode to view. I watched the entire episode without buffers or delays. Closing windows is quick and responsive too. The tablet provided a much more enjoyable experience than using my phone if I wanted entertainment while away from home. I usually haul my laptop along when I travel. That's not particularly convenient if I don't want to haul a lot of extra bags and weight. This tablet is the perfect solution for those trips. I get the benefit of being able to view a larger screen to view with my aging eyes combined with portability. I don't have patience for slow loading times or freezing frames.     • Decent Entry-Level Tablet
In my opinion, this is a pretty good budget-friendly tablet on the market I've owned so far. At first glance, it looks premium and feels so light, but yet solid. The viewable screen is actually 10.1-inch as described. The tablet doesn't come with a protective case, so finding one that fits well would be challenging. But it comes with pre-installed antiglare screen protector. Setting it up takes sometimes as it has a lot to update. As for the specs, it runs on Allwinner A523 octa-core processor, but no information on the GPU used. It has the latest update of Android 14 dated back on 11/5/2025, and there's no information as to how long the support will last. In terms of performance, I find this tablet is quite capable of daily tasks compared to other more expensive counterparts. However, it's not quite as responsive as the brand name ones. Nonetheless, when it comes to streaming videos from either apps or websites, that can be accomplished smoothly thanked to fast WiFi connection. I was only able to verify this with 5GHz signal bandwidth since I don't have a router that can support WiFi 6 yet. On the other hand, I find the display panel is not the best, but quite good in regards to color depth and saturation. For one, it doesn't have adaptive brightness, which is a little inconvenient. Understandably, I can't expect OLED panel in this kind of budget tablets. In direct sunlight, it's bright enough to be usable. The battery life seems decent with normal use like surfing the net, but it drains pretty fast during updating process or gaming. Also, the camera is decent when there's ample lighting, but very grainy under low lighting condition. I don't think most people would use their tablets to take memorable pictures, so do I.     • Good for a budget tablet
This tablet won't win awards. It isn't fast. The screen isn't high resolution. The audio is ok. The battery life is decent. I got around 3 - 4 hours on my initial charge watching youtube videos and browsing and doing the required updates. But where it shines is the price. Compared to the entry level high end tablet you can expect to pay about 10 - 15% as much. This would be decent for someone to keep by their bed or to give a young kid. This would not be good for productivity. Initial setup takes some time. I got this in January and finally booted it up in March. The one I got was already severally out of date requesting that I update to July's update and then once that finished it requested December's update before it was finally at the latest version. This process took 30 minutes or so. This isn't required to use but you really should do it before connecting it to the internet. During that time the battery went from 76% - 49% but it seemed to fall much slower after the updates were done. ... show more
