By far the nicest QUALITY table pad that I have found to fit our large, rectangular, wood dining table. I put it in the dryer-low heat for 7 minutes; immediately laid it on the table & it was perfectly smooth & WRINKLE-FREE. I use this for protection & to improve the drape of my fabric tablecloths. It has a nice, DENSE flannel backing. The butter-soft, slightly textured, vinyl DRAPES SMOOTHLY at the table edges/corners. It trimmed easily w/sharp scissors to about a 4” drop on the long sides of the table. As usual, underside SLIDES on the table. TO SECURE mine, I trim the two narrow ends just long enough to wrap under the edge & use good-grip (not painters tape), tape to secure it to the underside of my table (see pic.) I wipe it clean w/a dishcloth. NOTE: These vinyl pads claim to be heat “resistant;” But I’ve learned the vinyl “warbles” if directly exposed to a piping hot bowl of…say…oatmeal or soup ;-)

Works very well to protect the wood on my table, under a tablecloth, during a party. I'm glad a took the advice of another reviewer: to put the pad flannel side up under the tablecloth, to stop it sliding. Excellent tip. I have an oval table and it was very easy to trim to size.

Outstanding table pad. It has a thick felt lining on the underside and the vinyl is smooth and soft without any pattern. My two older table pads have a textured design and they aren’t as thick. This pad came folded, so there were definitely wrinkles when I placed it over the table (see photo). I used a medium heat iron to help flatten out the wrinkles. Once a tablecloth was in place, it looked smooth even though the table pad wasn’t completely wrinkle free. I would highly recommend this table pad.

Really like the quality. Haven't washed it yet but judging from the texture I believe it will wash well. Fair price. I ordered 54x90 but received 54x108. I can make it work so not really a concern. Nothing I could find locally was as good as quality.

I ordered this table protector for my mother's long dining room table. The tableclothes she has slide all over the table and don't stay put when moving dishes around. It's even worse when people sit and pull the tableclothwith them. This solved that problem. It's not too thick, the perfect density, really. I put it on her table and ran around the table cutting off the excess material. The top is vinyl so it prevents spills getting to the wood. The backing is flannel which helps steady the tablecloth but also prevents scratches. I thought it was a little pricey, but when I received it and put it on her table, I knew I needed another for my dining table. This is one of those items that you think about getting, but put off. But when you do get it, you realize it's value.
