I took all three of them apart, cleaned them out, oiled them, and then ran the nuts in and out. After 15 or 20 cycles they work perfectly. Thought it would go all the way to 1/2 inch tap It's lucky to go to 5/16.shows 3 received 3 but they are very small

    • I need to have a T-handle to fit micro- tapper .
I needed this T-handles for personal and work for tapping chassis . I also order some tappers too get a nice size to fit a hole that need tapping . Also I alway wanted a T-handles and tappers for myself too .

Did the job I needed it to do, more for you have it when you need it type of tool when you have nothing else, not something I would use for working everyday use as it would slide off the tap after a couple turns if you didn’t put pressure on it working under a car but still had grip to turn it if I just slides it back on but did the job as needed. ... show more

    • Great value for a pretty good tap set
As a former journeyman machinist, I can compare these to high-end tap wrenches like Starret. For the cost, these work fine but I did a modification to make these better. The steel is somewhat hardened at the jaws, albeit not the hardness you see in professional grade taps. The threads are a little rough, so put some heavy oil or grease on them and over time they will smooth out. I felt that the torque needed to tighten the jaws onto the tap was more than I liked, so I used a dremel tool and increased the length of the slots, which helps. The handle is comfortable, and the shaft has a spring load on it, providing a detent to hold the handle in place, that's a nice touch. You can also add some grip tape on the knurled cap to increase the diameter and make tightening easier. But overall is a good set and the value is hard to beat. ... show more
