He had his first crash and the safety kicked on for the bike to turn off automatically when he went down, he got up and kept going!! It's easy to assemble, as well as easier to learn on before you move them up to a bigger one. He loves that even though it's a mini, it still sounds powerful and the speed is perfect for him to have a blast on going through the yard, dirt and hills! It's definitely worth the price and I promise you will feel more comfortable as a parent starting your kids on this! The quality is wonderful for the price too!! My daughter is 5' and she comfortably rides it, weighing at 100 pounds. Make sure to use butt pads though!! It will start to hurt after awhile. My son is 102 pounds and 4'6" ... show more

Absolutely fabulous piece of equipment for a boy my grandson’s age. He loves it and it is just powerful enough for him to learn how to deal with raw power. Seems to be sound and well built. No complaints about the engine performance or starting capabilities.

Horrible from day 1 very hard to pull to start. Bike idles in choke but doesn't stay running when choke is off. Customer service just wants to ship me parts for a new bike. Don't waste your money. Buy a used yamaha

    • Pack the bearings with grease, seals are easy to remove.

You need to remove the wheels, the neck bearings and the swingarm bearings and pack them with grease. Build it well and surely the bike will be fun and great for the price. I modified the rear shock to make it lower for my 5-year-old. I cut the tack welds on the muffler cover and packed it with glass pack material from my local Motorsports source. The dirt bike was very loud initially and after packing it properly it was much more suitable for a 5-year-old. As far as the frame and the forks and the bike itself I think it looks great. And for the price you can't beat it. If you want to get your child into Motorsports. Just know that if you go the extra mile and pack all the bearings with grease that it will last much longer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is a great dirt bike for starters. It was an easy put together. It has the stickers but my son loved the basic white so we didn't add the stickers. One screw was missing, but it was a easy trip to autozone- problem solved. My son is 9 and loves it!!

Fantastic bike for the price. Few loose bolts but if your not incompetent you'll be fine with those. 4 stars only cause the carburetor can be finicky. Turn the idle down yourself also just a touch and it'll be good to go
