  • Great for Ironman 70.3 and open water swimming
Size: Women's W2 Style: Women
I'm 5'7" 150lbs, athletic build, long legs, and short torso. W2 was the perfect size for me. I sized down from the W3 because it bunched around the midsection. Make sure you size down if you're inbetween sizes and have long legs w/ a short torso. Overall fits well and keeps me very warm swimming in 65°F to 70° F water. I trained in pretty cold waters leading up to my Ironman 70.3. No real wear and tear and was great for the race. It doesn't come with gloves so you can protect the material when you put it on, but any gloves or even socks work so you nails don't puncture it when putting it on. One thing that surprised me is how strong the velcro is on the end of the zipper string, it sticks so strong inside the suit. Something to be mindful of, I actually place at the top of the neck under the flap, no issues. ... show more

  • THRILLED! SO EXCITED TO GET IN THE WATER! More flexibility than expected.
Size: Women's W2 Style: Women
Wow! Was about to buy this one on sale for $199, but a "used" one was available and I thought why not since the one I can't fit anymore has some blemishes. This "used" one is very brand new! Fits like a dream (I like mine not so tight, but snuggish). Size W2 for my out of shape body. I think weight is not the best indicator. I wish they did measurements because my weight in shape would be a size W1. So I bought for a size over my weight and height because I am a sloppy 129 right now lol. I am 5'4". The neck is comfy, this feels a lot stretchier than my other one. I wore it in the house a bit. Great movement! See photos for how perfectly unmarred this item came to me. I really love it. Arrived early in a day. ... show more

  • Seems high quality but runs very small
Size: Men's L1 Style: Men
I am 6'0" and 185 lbs. I am fit, not fat. I've got a 42 inch chest and a 34 inch waist. I have worn many wet suits (dive and tri) in my day and know how they should fit. According to the sizing chart I am in the middle of an M3. That didn't fit. Returned it for an L1. Didn't fit. Now returning it for an L2 hoping it will fit. Legs fit fine on both but torso was too tight to get on. Good thing the returns are free. But have to wait and go through the return hassle. My recommendation when ordering go for the largest size where you are in the range (if you are thin up top) or maybe even 1 size higher (if you are broad shouldered). ... show more

  • Perfect for triathlons!
Size: Women's W1 Style: Women
I just completed my first triathlon swimming in the sea and it worked great! I trained with it in a lake with quite cold water (60-65 degrees) and it kept me warm enough, although my feet and hands were really cold after a 40min swim workout. I am 5'6" and 140lbs and ordered a Women's W1 size. I have a long torso compared to my legs, which are wider than average and it takes me a little bit of time and effort to get it up to my waist, but overall it fits perfect! I don't think I would fit in a smaller size, and a size larger would be too much. Once you go into the water, it feels like the wetsuit adapts to your body shape and falls into place very nicely. Also, the first time I put it on, I didn't place it correctly in my shoulders and it felt tight for the arm movements while swimming. After that first time, I learnt to put it on better, pulling up enough so it does not feel tight in the shoulders. So far, I have not feel movement restrictions swimming anymore! Also it's supper easy to take it off. I was able to keep my transition times very short taking of the wetsuit in less than 20 seconds. ... show more

  • Training for Ironman - The Warranty is Worthless - Read it carefully
Size: Men's S2 Style: Men
I am training in Santa Barbara for the Tempe Ironman in November and overall the suit seems to do its job. That's until the neoprene starts falling apart. Regardless of whether you follow the care instructions perfectly the neoprene still falls apart. Even though I've only had my suit for 3 months (and only open water swim 3 times a week) the neoprene couldn't hold up. The manufacture has a loophole in their warranty that states "some failures are due to overuse or normal wear and tear and are not manufacture defects". Their discretion for what qualifies under warranty makes it easy for them to negate your claim. With that said, it was a great suit, for the 3 months it lasted! I included their warranty below so you can purchase at your own risks. My advice, it's worth paying a little more for a nice suit that will last through your training! Damage Not Covered Under Synergy Warranty: - Punctures and tears of the neoprene - Melting due to sun or heat exposure - Heel tears (tears caused by forcefully putting on or taking your suit off to the extent that your heel, finger or anything else punctures the suit) Damage caused by chlorine (degradation of the gluing in the suit is the most common chlorine-caused damage) - Zipper detachment/Missing teeth - Failures due to overuse or normal wear and tear Other Activities That Can Void the Synergy Warranty: - Using your Synergy Wetsuit for any activity other than triathlon of surface swimming. - Altering the wetsuit in any way, including silk screening, heat transferring, embroidery, or cutting. - Damage caused by using petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or any other petroleum-based product or unapproved lubricant, cleaner, or treatment. - Improper handling or storage. - Prolonged exposure to heat, sunlight, chlorine, and other harsh substances. ... show more

  • Seems good, but too small
Ordered an L2. I'm 6'3, 250. Got the legs on, but not enough in the upper torso to get over my shoulders and still be able to zip. Gonna return for an L3 amd try again since it does seem stretchy and also came off easier than my other wetsuits.
