Took my newly purchased 2003 Tige and turned it into a $100k surf boat. About 2500lbs ballast and this surf gate. Great price and wave. Suction cup levers are very hard to push down, but plus side hasn’t fallen off yet. Doesn’t float so we tie it to the back of the boat with the provided harness.

I own a 2000 Sport Nautique and have been using phat sacks to add to the wake, but have not been able to really get a great shape out of the wake. This shaper is ridiculously easy to use and add to the mix and definitely worked - and was super inexpensive.

Awesome wake shaper, put low and to the back of my 96 ski nautique (sport) and 2200 lbs of fat sacks. Huge surfable wave. Don't forget to pull it off when you load boat. Very strong Suction

I recently purchased the Sylvan Wake Maker for our 1999 Sport Nautique. It is a Direct Drive boat so we needed some help with the shape of the wave for Wake Surfing. The assembly was super simple and we had it suctioned to the boat in no time. We tested it's floating capability in the pool and it held up great. It added awesome shape to the wake and after playing with the weight distribution we were surfing in no time. I would highly recommend this product to any friends and family that are looking to add some shape to their wake for summer time surfing behind their boats!

First frustration there were no instructions on how to assemble. It was fairly easy but unsure if there is a front/ back. The QR code that comes with it tells you how to suction to the boat which is fairly self explanatory. Much more so than how to assemble. So used for about 30 mins. Not sure the effectiveness. We optimistically think it made a small improvement but not noticeable. During a ride we went through another boats wake. We were going about 12mph. The suction cups slipped off. I think bc they lost resistance then introduced abruptly as we went through the wake. Again 12 mph and wasn’t a massive wake. The wake booster recoiled from the leash the was attached to the stern. It came back into the bot and hit my elbow. Small cut but massive bruising. If I had a full boat and someone sitting in the rear it would have hit them in the back of the head. Do not buy for your safety. This doesn’t work well and the recoil on the leash if slides off is very dangerous.
