The Super Mable towable tube gathers high praise from most users for its fun factor, ease of inflation, and durability when used correctly. It's described as a huge, comfortable ride that resembles "riding on a comfy huge couch," ideal for both adults and children. However, some concerns about safety and the product's resistance to sun damage have been mentioned, illustrating the importance of careful handling and storage.

Pros

  • 🌊 Super fun for all ages
  • 🎈 Easy to inflate and deflate
  • 🚤 Great stability and comfort while in use
  • 👍 Excellent build quality for holding multiple riders
  • 💡 Can be used with an electric pump for convenience

Cons

  • ☀️ Susceptible to sun damage if not properly stored
  • 🔧 Issues with durability over time, particularly with stitching
  • 📏 Very large, can be challenging to transport and store
  • 💨 May lose a small amount of air over time
  • 🚸 Safety concerns for younger children under certain conditions

Should I Buy It?

If you seek an enjoyable and large towable tube for family fun, and have the means to properly care for and store it, the Super Mable could be an excellent investment. However, families with very young children or those without adequate storage might want to consider other options.

  • Hours of FUN! High Quality!
Color: Orange Size: 2 Rider
This works great!! Very high quality. We pulled this around for HOURS and hours with small children...and adults. It is durable and fun to ride. For beginners or adults who like the ride...but not the tumbling off, this offers a secure ride. Almost boring. It can be pulled more aggressively for a more exciting experience. ... show more

  • Tips to Survive on the Big Mable
Color: Orange Size: 2 Rider
I purchased this tube to replace a lay-down style tube that warped (bloated) in the middle. There was only 1 review when I bought this, but I took a chance and it was worth the risk and the price - so far :). Here is what I've learned/picked-up from using Mable. Survival Tip 1: This thing can get some major air (5ft!) when the water is very choppy from boat/pwc traffic (on the 4th of July weekend for example). This is really cool, until the rider comes down. So, a word of advice - from experience - if you get major air ***LET GO***! Yes, this may seem to go against your initial instincts to hold on for dear life. But, here is something to consider - you will have two outcomes if you hold on: A) you will get ejected after the impact OR B) you will get a good amount of whiplash. Our riders had some not-so-fun-and-painful landings/ejections when they held on, but were fine if they let go mid-air. If you are not going to provide a flat ride, and are looking to catch a good amount of air, your may want to inform your rider(s) of this. Survival Tip 2: Mable isn't a one-trick towable. Mable can fly and tip and flip! While Mable may seem bottom-heavy (and thus non-flippable), if you whip the tube out wide enough and fast enough (i.g. boat speed around 20MPH) you can lose your rider(s). I don't think we had any injuries from tipping or flipping, besides riders having the occasional collision while on the tube. Survival Tip 3: With adult riders and with Mable in the 'chariot' (kneeling) position, our boat wasn't strong enough to get Mable started unless the riders leaned back. So, tip 3 is to LEAN BACK when in the chariot position to get started. Afterwards, the rider can get comfortable without trouble. As a side note, when we had one rider and had speeds between 10MPH and 15MPH, Mable nosedived in the 'lounge' position. She would also sometimes drag or tip over without a rider, usually when the boat slowed down from lower speeds that were between 10MPH and 15MPH. General Tidbits: -Switching the position of Mable is really easy. -She also stays inflated very well - we didn't have to re-inflate after the initial inflation. -The handles and padded areas can rub on the rider(s) skin. If you want maximum protection for your skin, wear long pants when kneeling. Longer bottoms may also be a good idea for sitting too since regular swimsuits may ride-up. Gloves may be a good idea for extended rides, or you'll risk blisters. --- Overall, the Big Mable is an awesome tube. It handles all sorts of riders, it has held up well (over three months with at least 2 weeks of heavy use/abuse), and it is very very fun. It is easy to switch positions. --- Notes: Used only on fresh-water lake. ... show more

  • Used 6 times this season and already losing air
Color: Orange Size: 3 Rider
We were able to use it about 6 times and it a lot of fun. Great for younger kids because it is not an easy one to flip over. As we slowed down to swap out riders, the tube flipped back, dumping our kids into the water while it sat idle and when we got it back to shore, the back rest was soft, losing air. We filled it and it has a slow leak. NO air sound or leak tear found, not sure why this is happening.I have contacted Airhead to see if this is covered under warranty. I will update review when I get a response. ****update…I was sent a replacement part and it it’s back to good. Great customer service. ... show more

  • Tons of fun and built to last!
Color: Stars & Stripe Size: 3 Rider
Sure! Here's a general Amazon review for a boat tube. If you have a specific model or brand in mind, I can This boat tube has been a total hit with my family and friends! It inflates quickly, hooks up easily, and is super sturdy even at higher speeds. We’ve had a blast using it over the summer — it handles turns, bumps, and waves like a champ. The material feels thick and durable, and the handles are well-placed and comfortable to grip (even for the kids). We’ve had multiple riders on it with no problem, and it still looks almost brand new after several weekends on the water. If you're looking for a fun, high-quality tube for the lake or river, this one’s definitely worth it. Highly recommend! ... show more

  • Not a great unit
Color: Club Palm Size: 2 Rider
Unit was great and worked fine. Kids loved it first use. Issue came after packing it up. Instead of rolling it up we just picked it up deflated and put in box. ( we didn't know ) Next time tried to blow it up the inside tube is not attached to outside so it all shifted inside and valve lost inside outer case. Valve hole too small to pit full hand so cannot blow it up again. Spent hours trying to get inside tube lined up with no success. So unless we now cut it all open to straighten out the inner tube to line up then its useless. They should of manufactured it securing the inner tube to the outside cover to prevent this. ... show more
