    • Difficult to use, difficult to shut and reopen - good umbrella

Wanted a shorter and smaller canopy low cost umbrella and this umbrella is good for my needs, it will work for my upcoming trip. It appears to have a strong support shaft and upgraded springs and stronger enhanced metal ribs, but also the metal tips are exposed and possibly have less attachment thread than needed - it would be easy to repair if the threads broke loose. It seems like an upgraded and inexpensive umbrella. It's not automatic shut, it's click to collapse. The umbrella has to be fully clicked shut (using both hands) to engage the re-opening mechanism to get it to reopen again. If the umbrella is already open (in the rain) and the button on the handle is accidentally bumped, the umbrella collapses automatically, and both hands (and strength) are used to get the wet umbrella to shut all the way before it can re-open again. Design is easily accidentally triggered to collapse in the rain The case was made of fleece terry cloth and washed up nice and is big enough to easily use for the umbrella. Unpackaged with no odor, but the umbrella and case were rinsed to remove the invisible manufacturing dust. ... show more

I received my umbrella just a day ago so haven't had a chance to use it but it came in a timely manner, only delayed for a day. I opened it to see what it's like. It's very pretty inside so when carrying it you have a lovely, cheerful scene to view. It appears to be made well. I definitely had to hold it against myself to close it but I do that with other umbrellas that operate like this so it doesn't bother me. I only plan on using it as a sun shade but since it's so attractive, I just might want to use it on rainy days as well. I would definitely buy it again. ... show more

Wanted to update my previous review. The umbrella is cute and lightweight as originally stated, but I gave it a bad review because of a couple of small holes. I was surprised that the seller, SY, reached out to me offering me a complete refund even though I was past return date. I said that I would prefer a replacement and they shipped one out immediately.
