This review is for AUSLET SX29 Wireless Lavalier Microphone for iPhone 17/16/15 & Android, USB-C Plug & Play Mini Mic, AI Noise Reduction, Magnetic Clip-On Lapel Mic with 45H Battery Case for Vlogging & Video Recording, reviewed December 2025. Pros: - Comes with a charging case - Both microphones and the receiver can charge independently - Plug and play works well - Each microphone has a magnetic clip and can be positioned at different angles - Changing modes is easy by clicking the power button - Works up to 20m from receiver, for nice freedom of movement - Noise reduction works well - Reverberation feature is fun - Mute capability - Modes have lighted indicators on the microphone - Low power demands Cons: - There is an FCC mark on the box, but no FCC ID on the device, as required. Not sure what is going on with that - The clips are rather small; one came off while clipped to a sweatshirt. I’d be careful if wearing a blazer, sweater or other heavy clothing, and clip it to a lanyard. - Because the microphones are small, it can be easy to lose them. Be extra careful in areas where dropping something small may be problematic - The microphone is attached to the clip with a magnet; this may not be a great system for those who are doing something very active while recording. For more sedentary recordings, it held fine - The product page says that it works up to 30m, while the manual states 20m. I found the manual to be more accurate when I tested the distance. It picks up some things at 30m, but is more intermittent Universal design: - The manual has extremely tiny print, and the symbols for modes on the microphones are low contrast. Those with limited vision will benefit from a sighted helper, patience, and time taken to memorize. You can feel the power button to click through modes; there is no auditory feedback. Replacing into the charging case can be done by feel. The power display is a lit LED, bright and a reasonable size. For those with coordination difficulties: if you can plug something into a USB-C, work a clip, and do a pinching motion to press the power button, then you are likely to be able to use this device. Summary: I started recording with both microphones and the receiver plugged into an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Everything was fully charged to 100%. After 15 minutes, the phone was still at 100% and the microphones and receiver showed 99% when placed back into the case. The sound quality did deteriorate beyond 20m. The noise cancellation worked great with a television playing in the background. It did not interfere with a natural echo in a very large, cavernous room. Sound quality was impacted and variable when the microphones were too close to each other (under 6 in), from apparent interference. So far so good for initial testing. I really like the plug-and-play functionality. I will update if anything more comes to light. hope that this helps with your decision. Do let me know, and happy shopping!
