This gun safe is sturdy and has an excellent electronic lock on the front which is removable to allow access via key. I got the version with the dehumidifier and lights. The dehumidifier sits in the bottom of the safe and since it's electronic, gets quite warm (which is what it's supposed to do so that air can circulate). The lights are very bright, super white (cold) LEDs and in my opinion, they are too bright and are placed in the wrong spots. They can be blinding (even though it doesn't appear that way in the photo). There are two light strips, one opposite the other. I'll be modifying mine to lower the brightness. Unless you have your safe in a place where there's not enough light, skip these or put some masking tape over them to lower the intensity. Otherwise, I'm very happy with this safe. ... show more

The safe was professionally delivered and of superior quality. As I was programming the electronic lock, i pull the dial off the safe too hard and stripped ot form. the wires. I email the company my situation. They contacted. e the next morning and shipped a replacement part with instructions at no cost. They were very courteous and helpful. Safe has worked flawlessly since ordering it. To help with humidity I bought a rechargeable dehumidifier. The humidity is never above 44 percent in my safe. Perfect. Recently we had an electrical storm and of the random things in the house that stopped working, the safe lights were one of them. I contacted them - over a year after buying the safe - and they quickly shipped out a replacement power supply. All is good again. Top company. Top safe. Buy it. ... show more

This is the second time I had purchased a gun safe, removed all the insides and set up as a jewelry safe. This one is set up differently than I did my last one. This one i had glass shelves made, added a watch winder, and built a sliding watch drawer. I ordered all the extras... additional lighting, dehumidifier, fingerprint entry... I have worked in personal protection for many years so my focus is always on how secure an object or asset is at all times. This safe is the real deal. Not too big, but not quite small either. It is the perfect in-between. I am highly satisfied with this SteelWater 16 Gun Safe. The craftmanship is on par with many leading brands and the weight is enough to make it a real pain to move around. The EMP Lock is great and is actually more of a touch screen than a key pad, the included dual sided BitKey is perfect if ever needed and it is easy to get to the key lock if necessary. The locking bolt system is build well with a ridged design. And the interior lighting works great and feeds light to all areas of the safe. As a Security Expert, I will gladly give this Safe my approval! ... show more
