As other reviewers have stated, and I will reiterate, YOU WILL NEED FULL BODY PROTECTION and a plan in place to thoroughly clean up the metal splinters these will produce if you are cutting metal with them. The cutting dross doesn't compare to an angle grinder's sparks, these create metal splinters that you do not want coming in contact with bare skin. I love this burr set. I haven't used a large amount of different burr bits I'm alive but I have used for five and this by far is the best I've ever used. Have used one extensively and it hasn't even taken anywhere on the bit itself that I can see or notice and I would definitely buy this product again. ... show more

Don't know about longevity or durability yet and probably won't for a long time but the piece I used to grind the threads away from the interior of a 1 1/2" stainless steel pipe did the job just fine! Of you're looking for burrs to run in a die grinder or even the larger roto-zip these work great. I've used several of them clearing out welds and no sign of wear at all. I can't say for sure if they hold up like big name carbide burrs but for me at home in the shop they seem to do everything I expect of them. No problem hogging out hard steel. ... show more

Iโ€™ve had these for a month already and use these for granite, stone and glass, and the tips have held up well. No wearing, doesnt get hot or even warm after continuous use. These things chew through mild and stainless like you wouldnโ€™t believe. They are consumables so they wear out, but their performance to cost ratio is phenomenal. Make sure your collets are tight tight TIGHT!!!!
