I've not had them long enough to speak to their longevity, but I can tell you this, THEY ARE SHARP, and they fit my hand like any good scissors would. So far, I LOVE THEM for general use! I've put out 3 for everyone to use and squirreled away the other 2 where only I know. When the 3 I've shared go wherever all the others have gone (probably hiding out with the socks), I'll be cool cuz I'll still have 2 secret scissors in a secret space.......Here's hoping I'll remember where that is.
