    • Good basic scissors at a price that makes sense for everyday use
Color: 6-pack Assorted
We go through scissors like Kleenex in this house, so I am constantly buying all-purpose pairs to replace the ones that disappear into bedrooms, junk drawers, craft areas, and wherever else scissors apparently go to hide. These are very basic scissors, but they work well for the cost. They are good for everyday household use like opening packages, cutting paper, school projects, labels, coupons, and other simple tasks. I would not expect them to feel like premium craft or sewing scissors, but that is not what I bought them for. For inexpensive, general-purpose scissors, they do exactly what I need. They cut cleanly enough, are easy to keep around the house, and are affordable enough that I do not mind buying replacements when another pair inevitably vanishes. ... show more

    • Feb 2021-Do you have a scissors problem in your home? Buy these & be happy! UPDATED Oct 2024
Color: 5-pack Assorted
ORIGINAL REVIEW: February 19, 2021- No matter how many scissors we have in this house, I usually can't find one when I need one. After a particularly bad show of mental melt-down over missing scissors, I got on Amazon and found this pack of 5 for $8.49....$1.70 each! I spent about 5 seconds wondering how good can they be & how long can they last? WHO CARES, it's five pairs of scissors! I've not had them long enough to speak to their longevity, but I can tell you this, THEY ARE SHARP, and they fit my hand like any good scissors would. So far, I LOVE THEM for general use! I've put out 3 for everyone to use and squirreled away the other 2 where only I know. When the 3 I've shared go wherever all the others have gone (probably hiding out with the socks), I'll be cool cuz I'll still have 2 secret scissors in a secret space.......Here's hoping I'll remember where that is. BUY 'EM, THEY'RE WORTH IT! FINAL UPDATE TO THE ORIGINAL Feb 19, 2021 REVIEW (ABOVE): October 20, 2024- These general purpose, bargain scissors have held up and performed better than expected. After 3 years 10 months and alot of use, they're still holding together and cutting it up, sharp enough for general use of a shared household scissors. Makes my list of "best bargains from Amazon". ********************************************************************** FIRST UPDATE TO THE ORIGINAL Feb 19, 2021 REVIEW: November 25, 2022 - While cruising Black Friday deals, I came across this same set of 5 scissors that I bought on Jan 25, 2021 for $8.49 (reviewed on Feb 19, 2021). This time they were only $5.99....a mere $1.20/ea! Of course, I bought them again, without hesitation. Check it out - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WW7SVH5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 OOPS: I didn't open the pkg right away, and while these looked the same as those I originally reviewed in Feb 2021, they were not. They are made cheaper, not as heavy and not as good for as many different tasks as those originally reviewed. Still, at $1.20 each, for a household always looking for scissors, they were a good buy and worth the price. No regrets. ... show more

Color: 5-pack Assorted
I bought these scissors to share with my DIL, because she needs a new pair of scissors! Her scissors don't cut well at all! So, three of them are for me, and the other 2 will be for her. They cut great, and the colors are pretty, too! What a great deal for the money! And they are a perfect size, too. I am very satisfied with my purchase. ... show more
