Our original switch has had many replacement joycons. Most of which simply couldn't survive the frustration of its players. Although many just started drifting. This style of controller is by far the strongest that I've found. The locks keep the console where it's supposed to be, and it has adjustments for OLED models. The analog sticks are smooth, and the buttons are quick. This is an inactive controller so it doesn't ever need charged, but it won't work at all unless the console is docked. It does have a passthrough port to charge the switch while in the cradle. Highly Recommended!

The first one sent was a gift for Christmas. One of the control pad buttons was permanently pressed. So, we were unable to configure properly and use. We sent it back and when the second arrived, it is working perfectly. Easier to hold for an adult too, in case you need to, um, make sure it is working properly for your little ones.

This controller has a nice solid feel to it. Buttons have good tactile response. The USB-C port that allows charging while playing is a really nice feature.
