When I purchased this for my grandson I couldn't find anything in the ad that would tell me if it came with chains, well it does, so that's good. You probably will need to buy the brackets the chains hook to though.

great product for the money hooked it all up and installed on swing set and was sure it was a built wrong. husband told me to change the way the chains were attached and behold it works as intended. it must be oriented the way it is in my photo. if installed the other way it will not work seems obvious in hindsight but when i looked at reviews while feeling hopeless i saw at least one that had my same complaint. hope this helps ... show more

Style: No Swing Hangers
This is a favorite on our self-built A frame swing set. However it's becoming less used as our kids are getting deeper cuts/gouges on the inside if their legs from the bolts that stick out from the front yellow portion everytime they swing. We also had to buy extra chain lengths (and more carabiners) as it was at chest height on our set without them. (8 foot top beam height) We needed 4 lengths of 3 foot to bring it to a comfortable height for them to mount it easily. So that was another 35$ I didn't anticipate. Just a heads up. I'll buy a different style of nut to cover the protruding bolts...or maybe I'll just saw the bolt's excess off. Probably easier. Anyways, they love it but it's not perfect. We've had it for about 1 month only but it's seen a lot of action. 5 kids here but only our younger 3 are allowed to use it. Worth it over all. Needs modifications so it's not cheap. Oh, I forgot we also bought special glider brackets which was another 35$. Yeah, not a cheap toy but I hope it withstands the years of use and it'll pay for itself eventually. ... show more

    • YES - It DOES work on two hooks on plastic toddler swingsets!
Style: No Swing Hangers
I have the Little Tikes Garden Swing Set. This is a typical big plastic swing set, with similar swingsets made by Step2. I'm writing this review to confirm - absolutely - and without any doubt - that this swing works on the plastic toddler sort of plastic swing sets with only 2 hooks at the top. I ordered this only ~75% sure that it would actually work. The chains don't connect at the top. i.e. there are actually 4 chains when this is all assembled. But you just put both chains on each side onto the same hook at the top of the swingset. And it's all good. My 3 year old daugher was endlessly demanding that I push her on the swing. And I push her a lot - I do. But she is finally able to "push" herself. It took about a week (at first she just shoved the handles back and forth too rapidly to get a real swing going). But she caught on and can now soar high. Thank goodness. But again - my biggest concern buying this was whether it would work on just the typical two-hook "regular swing" connectors on the toddler swingset I have. Yes. yes. It does. It does.
