I got this for my nephew who always wants to play ball with the big boys. He is only one and loves it. My older nephews play with it too. Lots of fun. Good quality. Hasn't been knocked over any time the ball is thrown at it. The ball comes with it. We don't have a deck to try it pool side but will be purchasing another for the pool.once the deck goes up.     • Very sturdy, but installation instructions lacking
I just decided to pay a little extra to get a sturdy goal that would hold up to my son dunking the ball and playing in the pool on a regular basis. The instruction manual states assembly time is 45 minutes. Ha! I am an orthopedic surgeon, and it took me, several hours! The artist who drew the instructions did a very poor job. The images are not labeled effectively. The parts are not individually labeled at all, and do not look like the images. On one of the sections of the instructions, the most important parts are not labeled at all, and a vital screw is not even shown on the diagram. Even the list of screws is not accurate, as the instructions state there is only one screw, but 3 were included, and all 3 are needed. The assembly caused a significant amount of frustration, but I think we will get some good use out of it. ... show more

This hoop is perfect for my kids and their friends! My 15 year old son and his friends are pretty rough and the hoop stands up to them. This is a great addition to our pool. It was easy to put together and very sturdy!

    • Junk. Hard to put together, rusting after 1 day
Hoop was placed outside... it is a POOL Basketball Hoop! The next morning after fog it was rusting in multiple spots, including the bolts. This was the WORST thing I have ever put together. Absolutely terrible instructions. You're better off trying to look at the pictures online than the instructions. Or, better yet buy something different. Plan to get an engineering degree in order to put this thing together. And then it will rust on you. ... show more

I have previously always gone for the cheap nets for our family pool but they always end up breaking so this time I decided to try a more premium, expensive one and boy am I glad I did. Straight out of the box I could tell it has been made from top quality materials - even the ball is of a high quality. It was extremely straightforward to build and I had it at our poolside in no time. I've been looking for a hoop for our pool and decided to give this one a try. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised on how well made this hoop is! I honestly wasn't sure if I would find one that would hold up to 3 teenage boys playing a competitive game of ball, but this one does. I also love that it's got a place to store the ball when not in use. Adjustability is also great since my boys are growing like weeds. Overall, worth the money!! Give it a try!! ... show more
