This chair is surprisingly easy to assemble. I assembled a different style chair from the same brand that took quite sometime to do so I was very surprised that this one is so straight forward; the instructions are also a lot clearer; I also liked that screws are labeled by the step number they are to be used for. The chair itself is a lot more comfortable than other style chair; it's also $80 more than the other chair I suppose it lives up to the price. I like that the arm rests are completely adjustable in 3 directions, it's also high enough for me to sit comfortably at my desk level. The headrest is nice but I don't really need it, I was debating whether to even assemble it. I ended up assembling it anyway since I didn't want to leave parts around the house. The footrest is very well hidden. I almost thought that I was sent the wrong chair because there was no footrest to assemble. Turn out, it's folded neatly under the chair, it's quite flat so it doesn't take a lot of space and it makes the chair looks very compact. The padding on the chair is very thick so it's very comfortable to sit on. However, I don't like the fabric used on the chair at all. For the price, I'd expect it to be faux leather or better fabric. This fabric is felt like and it attaches dust and pet hair like crazy, I got a bunch of pet hair stuck on the chair the first time I sat on it. I now have to keep a lint roller on my desk to clean off the pet hair regularly. This chair is supposed to recline so you can lay down on it; however, I find the recliner very stiff and hard to lean back. Every time I lean back, it pushes me back up so I'd have to use a lot of force to force it down. I definitely can not lay back and comfortably on it at all. It said to turn the weight balance mechanism counter clock wise to allow the recline but the mechanism is really hard to turn and even after a lot of work to turn it, I still can not comfortably lean back, which is the reason I took one star off the chair. It's overall a very solid and comfortable chair, except for the recliner, everything else about it works just as expected. I'm overall happy with it despite a few set backs.
