The rubber band inside of the waistband is too tight and twists. Also, Im a pretty slim gal and I felt like these made my legs look fat. OK, I know that sounds weird, but some clothes just cling to your body in a way that makes you look fatter than you are. That was these. They werent comfortable at all and there werent flattering at all. I would not suggest buying, but if you must, Size 1 up if you dont want a tight waistband and unflattering cling. Maybe 2 sizes, IDK. I would just go to Ross and get some joggers there instead lol.

I reviewed the size chart and the reviews about sizing carefully. I am 5'6" and 140 pounds with a 31 inch waist. I usually wear a size 10 or medium at the major retailers. I ordered the SMALL in these pants. The elastic waist is near perfect on me... not tight. The overall fit is loose and comfortable. The pants have a fairly basic, straight cut. The inseam is 27 inches so it falls at my ankles. I like the pockets. The "drawstring" is decorative so I removed it. The drawstring loops through 2 grommets in the front so it would only cinch the front if you need to cinch it.

I liked that it had pockets, I liked that it was not skin hugging tight and that the price was reasonable. They were also very comfortable. I also wanted draw strings and though it had drawstrings, it was just for show. I would have liked the draw strings to have been for the entire waistline. Also I would have liked for them to be in more colors. They were available just in 2 colors, wine red color and black
