  • Switching to a single compartment sink was the best thing we ever did!
Color: White
This replaced our American Standard porcelain double compartment sink (same size). Our previous sink cost 3 times as much and chipped within months and rusted along the edges (severely) within a couple of years. Although it had a lifetime guarantee, what was I gonna do... pack it up and send it back and wait for a replacement? Though it took a while to decide what material to get our next sink in, the choice to get solid surface has been great so far. Though this sink marks easily, everything scrubs right out with a little soft scrub and scrubbing pad (easily). Marks on the porcelain sink were permanent. I like the feel and quietness of this sink over stainless as well. Acrylic is a joke for something as heavily used as a kitchen sink and granite composite I didn't know much about (other than people reviewing about leakage and cracking issues). The sink came with one hole (our preference as we were going with a contemporary faucet) and we had to drill out one more for a soap dispenser. No problems at all and there were even pilot holes on the underside so you couldn't make a mistake on the alignment. The biggest surprise upgrade has been the change to a single compartment sink. At this size, the single compartment is HUGE, and every pot we own fits. It is much easier to clean pots and pans in this sink than the double compartment sink and large items like grill grates and full oven racks actually fit and can be completely submerged! Anything smaller washes through the dishwasher anyway, and it has always been recommended that pots and pans be washed by hand due to the caustic properties of the automatic dishwashing detergents. Now, it is a lot easier to clean our pots and pans (and other stuff). We also got a metal drying rack that fits over about a third of the sink that we can stack dishes in after being washed in the sink. The plates can simply just be sprayed off right where they sit and you're done! This system works great whenever we decide to wash anything by hand. Typically, you would wash in one and rinse in the other but that doesn't work well when items don't fit. Not missing the second compartment at all! On a lighter note, this sink probably makes a great baby bathtub. ... show more

  • could not be happier with a single bowl sink
Color: Bermuda Sand
I ordered the Bermuda sand color single bowl sink. it is 33w X 22depth, by 10.5 in height. this sink is amazing. I have had about 1 week. I purposely threw spaghetti sauce in it and left it for 10 mins without water. I came back and wiped clean with a sponge and some soap with water and it went back to normal color. its amazing to wash dishes in this thing. its large enough to accommodate the biggest kitchen appliance you might have and you will for sure have space left over for extras. the finish is granite composite, which gives it that perfect surface that things wont stick to it when you wipe it out but still the stone look to give it some appeal. I did not get the darkest or lightest color, but I got somewhere between light to medium beige with stone appearance and it matches everything in my kitchen color scheme because the "specs" in the color of the sink are variable to coordinate with tons of things. it came with 1 hole drilled out slightly off center in the back of the sink and it was recommended to use a "carbide toothed hole saw" to drill out additional holes if you wanted to. they have 4 extra holes spaced out on the underside of the sink to choose from for placement. the hole width we used in the drill bit was 1 3/8in and it was perfect for our soap dish accessories to fit nicely. I paired this with an oil rubbed bronze pull down faucet with matching soap dish and we put the garbage disposal with it with an oil rubbed bronze rim and it looks incredible and really makes the sink stand out in appearance which is exactly what I was going for. I had a 2 basin sink -50/50 bowl, previously in cast iron finish and I have never been happier switching to this type of sink and composite granite finish. lastly, from others' reviews, I checked every single crevice of my sink for cracks, blemishes, scratches etc and I personally found Nothing wrong or on the sink I received and it was packaged up super well upon arrival to me, so I think it was a shipping issue if it arrived damaged. hope you decide to buy one and you will love it too!!! ... show more

  • I love my new sink
Color: Bisque
I love my new sink. The only problem was that I couldn't use my old faucet (which was expensive) because the rim with the hole was to narrow for the plate that came with my old faucet so I had to buy a new faucet with no plate . Under the sink does come will extra holes if you want to drill them but I was afraid it might crack the sink so I didn't want to take the chance. If you are going to add a new faucet, I suggest getting one that has a movable spray so you can clean the sink . For now I have to use a sponge to clean the sink. Hope this is clear what I am trying to say. I'm not sure how durable the sink is, so I make sure I use a mat to protect it from scratches. The plumber wanted $600.00 to install it which I thought was too expensive and turned him away and then he knocked $100.00 off the price but i had no choice and let him do it. Because my old sink had two drains, he did have to make some changes into one drain and he did a great job and I am happy with the installation. I gave it four stars because it was expensive to install and the rim problem we had. ... show more
