It's small and has a tripod mount both top and bottom so it's easy to mount on a goose neck or arm and to use as a webcam. The optical zoom lens provides the perfect range for webcam use. Can be close up on your face or very wide to get most of a small room. Overall this is much more versatile than most cheap webcams. Minor issues: Color isn't amazing, a little bluish and washed out. And manual focus is VERY sensitive and hard to get right. You have to keep refocusing whenever you zoom, and the hardest part is if you are using it for meetings, and sitting or standing farther than you can reach, then it's VERY hard to focus it well.

For my application the best part is the IR bandstop filter is easily removable. It's a 2MP camera so resolution is obviously not top of the line, but I'm after sensitivity which the IMX323 provides. Adapting an IR LP/BP filter is a bit tricky, you can 3D print a new mount for it, or attach a 30mm filter via adapter- which is the only drawback on this camera as the lens assembly is not threaded so you need a friction mount or get a separate adapter- in which case it may be a good idea to go with a 37mm filter to prevent vignetting. Overall for the money this is a great deal.

I bought this to record readings on devices during a research test. It had good zoom and met the need. It was very tricky to focus properly as the focus ring was super sensitive to small motions. A finer thread is needed. The resolution is likely not what is advertised as there is no compression and the files were not large enough to support 8Mpixel

Great image quality, perfect focal length for my desk. I wish it had a bit more depth of field but it is hard to do that with such a tiny sensor. The 1/4" screw mounting on top and bottom is pretty convenient.

I bought this to replace my super wide angle Nexigo N60 in my home office. Didn't want all my co-workers to see my entire house. Quality is makes it un-usable. Video also lags like crazy! Sent it right back. Beware of this brand.

Other than the bad color, which is not a problem for my use, the camera performs well and as advertised. As an example the two photos attached... first is with the camera and the other is with my phone (note 20). Manually adjusting the white balance and other settings made no improvement. The 2.8-12mm lens goes from a very wide fisheye view to a more normal perspective. Not a zoom by any means, good for closer and/or larger subjects. The 5-50mm lens offers a decent zoom and good for general use. The 2.8-12mm lens can focus very close, even touching the lens. The 5-50mm has a minimum distance somewhere around a few inches from the lens.
