I used these under the hood of my aquarium for a moonlight/glow effect. I was skeptical at just how bright they would be, so I purchased multiple strips expecting to have to double or triple up. Turned out one was plenty bright for my needs. Bring waterproof they have a thick rubber membrane over the lights which made it a little trickier to install: I couldn’t simply fold it over itself to make corners, the ~18” spacing between cut marks was less than ideal, and being so thick the double stick has a hard time holding where I did make corners. I just ended up using some extra clamps from previous strips to hold it in place. Longevity is yet to be seen: how long the leds will stay this bright, and how long before the rubber coating lasts before it yellows, hardens, and cracks. ... show more

Bought 2 rolls. 1 white and 1 warm white. Both full length sets cut at 21 inches and connected to a variable power supply. 77 watts at 12volts and 105watts at 13volts.

The media could not be loaded. I have gone through many different types of LED strips and even to hand soldering my own strips for different applications. Almost every high density strip that I've come across it's either outrageously expensive or just do not meet my expectations due to the style chip used on the strip. These strips are very bright (not the over exagerated 26000 lumens bright) and are very uniform. I run these on a 12v 5 amp power supply and also ran these fused in a vehicle. I've also used them when rebuilding headlights as the DRL strips. Keep in mind with how close together these LEDs are you must use a heatsink to dissipate the heat or you must power these with a lower voltage/current to not have them so hott. If you don't, you will burn singles or groups out and this is where most complaints come from. I have ran these for at least a year with minimum 5 hours use a day without any single LED failing. ... show more
