  • First time bone conducting, great experience
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Red
To start, I wear these for work in >100dB environments so I wanted to use earplugs with these and I actually found this betters the experience. Without earplugs in, they aren’t support loud but usable in most day to day environments. They do sound a little flat to me but that’s because bass is hard to translate through bone conduction. It’s not a deal breaker just nature of the product type. But ear plugs brings that bass in a little bit but can sound muffled at times. It holds up very well to sweat and grime and in extremely loud environments I can still things clearly without issue. I’m thrilled with the value. I don’t see visible charging indications to let you know how charged they are and haven’t found it in the app yet but they’re extremely compatible with Apple products which I enjoy and I mean that by they’re quick to connect, faster than my AirPods Pro in some cases. They are wear and forget kind of comfortable. I have no idea I’m wearing them most of the time already. I highly recommend ... show more

  • Awesome running headphones sure BUT… you’ll never want to take them off
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Red
I’m no ultramarathoner, but I do like to regularly hit 7 to 10 mile runs. My AirPod pros were fine, they never fell out of my ears, were decently sweat resistant, and could reliably last about 3 hours. I avoided the bone conduction stuff because I thought it was just a fad for something that sounded terrible. The last race I did head some rain to start it and immediately my AirPods cut off and I was left with two hours of silence and running. Lame. I figured what the hell, I’d give it a shot and return them if they suck. Heres my biggest takeaway based on my experience and what I thought they’d be like after watching a dozen review videos beforehand: -The sound is dope. Way better than I thought it would be. I’m honestly pretty deaf and have some hearing loss, and I don’t even run with them on full blast. It’s not the same as my old headphones in terms of sound quality, but it’s more than not bad… it’s actually pretty freaking good. Rock, Rap, Classical, whatever it’s way more than I’d thought I’d get. -The battery just goes and goes and goes. Couple that with the charging pack that’s honestly pretty light, It’ll never die on you unless you’re a bonafide ultramarathoner or an ultralight thru hiker. -having dropped it in water already, the IP67 holds up. No more weird muffled buzz from when your headphones get water trapped or shutting off mid run -my favorite part. On a light settings my, you have a constant soundtrack going on while still being able to talk to people and go on about your day. I literally wear them 24/7 now. The dual BT connection works perfectly so I can bounce between my phone and my Garmin seamlessly. Very comfortable and easy to use. Fit like a glove and don’t shake off unless you’re head banging at a creed show. -the only things I don’t find myself using are the head tilt controls… just driving or walking around will trigger it, and the LED lights. Great feature but most of my miles are on trails. For the price they’re more than worth it for what you get. ... show more

  • If you're going to pay this much go with the Open Run Pro
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Black
I have used the Shokz open run Pro for a year and a half, or so but finally lost them. In looking for a replacement, I found the Suunto Wing and thought I'd try something new. There are a lot of reviews saying the sound quality is better than Shokz. The Pros: The Suunto Wing charging case is nice and it's great to have a portable holder that doubles as a charger. Sound quality is good when on a run and it works well. Cons: The volume control is terrible. Even at the lowest volume setting my wife can make out what I am listening too and in a quite setting it's also louder than I even want. I imagine this could be fixed with a software release. The currently have a normal and and a running mode (I can't tell the difference), but they could maybe improve equalizer customization I got some vibration / feedback that I never got when using the shokz They just don't sit around my ears anywhere near how the shokz does. Overall these are way overpriced for the quality of bone conduction headphones. I'll be going back to shokz. ... show more

  • Fine sound, bad fit
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Red
My review is kind of personal, but these fit way too loosely on me. I tested a Shokz Mini size and theirs fit perfectly, so I'll plan to return the Suunto Wing. The large loop at the rear would sag and when the drivers moved around enough it would change the sound quality dramatically. If I could keep them in an ideal position or maybe if they even had smaller loops (my ears are kinda small) they would fit better. ... show more

  • Great set of bone conduction earphones
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Black
I was pleased with the quality and functionality of these SUUNTO bone conduction earphones. They are comparable to Shokz products with respect to sound quality, and they work very well on long sweaty runs. The best feature is the charging station, which charges the earphones beautifully when they are docked. I also like the unique ability to light up the earphones with solid or blinking red lights when I run early in the morning or late at night. There are other features that I haven’t really used, such as shaking my head to advance the music. I find touching the Function Button on the headphones does the trick just as well. These headphones pair up to two devices seamlessly. I have had no problems with the connectivity. All in all, a good product, albeit a bit pricey. ... show more

  • Impressed, coming from shokz openrun pro v1's
Style: Suunto Wing Kit Color: Red
Nothing wrong with shokz, I've used mine for a year and only really disliked the fit on a 7 5/8 dome. I noticed them and after a while I loved getting them off me. The Wing, more comfort and feels like the shoks if not better built. The wear is more free / less pinch, I can wear them longer. Battery is great, I also have the pod with these. Does charge fast, has a proprietary charge different than shokz and their molded cast won't fit the wing. Don't care either, these are great! ... show more
