LOVE IT. First, I'm a huge fan of my Apple Watch Ultra. So why would I get this smart "dumb" watch? I'm severely ADHD, and there are times when my AWU overloads my system. Especially WFH, so having this watch with simpler functionality is perfect. I can still get the notification I want via Focus settings. Timer and alarms. WO the other distractions. BC I can only see the notifications but not interact with them from my wrist, I calms me bc I don't feel like I MUST reply right then. Why buy something this $$$? Great question, I love the design of the watch and the graphics are awesome. It plays well with my ADHD.

Works as expected, no real complaints with the watch. Works well running, on the bike and in the gym. The only minor issue being the temperature sensor reeads 81* in my 65* basement. Can't wait to see what it comes up with in the summer outside. Also, would it kill Suunto to have a textile strap option WITHOUT a buckle. Buckles really don't work well when using a laptop. I find the silicon strap to be terribly uncomfortable and they gave me a second silicone strap for free. Why would anyone need two silicone straps? One more thing. They do not have a web interface for reviewing your excercise data so you are stuck with a itty bitty tiny cell phone screen ... Update: this really isn't that good for cycling ... - Even with the display always on it dims after a few seconds and is completley impossible to read in the sun. This requires taking hands out of the drops to wake the thing up where a glance should have been sufficient. Not happy about that at all. - Cadence and speed sensor support is problematic. First bike I tried it on has a DuoTrap sensor (combined speed and cadence) and that worked fine. Second bike had one for speed and one for cadence. These are dual purpose sensors that can switch between speed or cadence. The Race 2 assumed they were both speed (you can't choose the type) and would only let one connect at a time. Sensors work fine without modfication with a bike computer. So, they need to fix some bugs here. I will be sending back.

Sporting functionality of over 100 activities, offline maps, sleep tracking, all of the bells and whistles that one comes to expect from a good training or outdoors watch. Whether you are an elite athlete, or an everyday kind of person wanting geo tracking of activities, steps, calories burned etc. this watch fills that purpose. I've previously owned other Suunto watches as well as Garmin, and Polar. Offline mapping was the singular item that convinced me to purchase this one. The ease of use is there with just three buttons, one of which is the crown that simplifies scrolling through menu items or zooming maps. At 49mm in diameter, it's not small, but the super bright AMOLED screen has a really good resolution (466 x 466 pixels) and is easy to read, even with my old tired eyes. Quick release straps make strap changes a breeze and allows you to customize the appearance from the stock color available. The supplied strap is comfortable, holds the heart rate sensor securely to the wrist and doesn't pinch.

A beautiful OLED touch screen. It took me a while to figure out how to use it, how to create a screen with the data I wanted to see while running. It can be done, but it is not trivial to figure out. So the watch is great, but being everything to everybody is complicated so there should be some specific guidance to make it easier to use. That is why the four stars.

Another wonderful watch from Suunto. It has a beautiful screen with crisp, sharp edges and bright colors, that make it easy to read. Also, the Suunto phone software is easy to use. As an Garmin escapee, eight years in the Garmin camp, I find the Suunto ecosystem refreshingly simple compared to the growing complexity that seems to be engulfing Garmin these days.

Nice watch display, GPS is good and battery is good. I give it 3 star because it's heart rate monitoring inaccuracy. I did multiple workouts about 60 hours over one months. Most time the heart rate monitoring is working as the Polar H7 strap. Some times when your wrist is super sweaty and moisture build up under the watch, Race 2 can't trank heart rate. The reading stuck at 80-90 bpm for 20-30 minutes. If you wipes out the sweat, it will return to normal. These sweaty situations mostly are high intensity workout. I don't have time to wipe the watch and wrist. My previous Polar vantage V bought from 2019 can track heart rate well in wet/water, but Sunto Race 2 can't.
