It works for me
Im in the mobile tire/roadside assistance business. I have used this item to put a tire on about 3 times and every time I used it it makes it easy. I have a tire machine without the assist arm so this device comes in handy when tire keeps popping up because it doesn’t want to seat.

A must have for difficult tires, even with assist arms
Even with dual assist arms I found there are some tires that need even more help so these really do the trick. Some custom wheels don't have much of a relief to work with so that's where these help.

Great for motorcycle tires
When changing motorcycle tires...it's getting harder to find shops that want to mount tires on spoked wheels of motorcycles, particularly older bikes. This tool...well, tools...lets you put the tire edge with its wire bead closer to the "drop edge" of the wheels center. This is the secret to mounting tires by hand...in addition to having arms like Jack Reacher. Once the wire bead is in the dropped center of the rim, you have room to mount the tire without damaging it, Some people use whatever is on hand, metal clamps, wood blocks, etc., to lower the bead, but this is an easy no mar way to do it. The tool has a spacer that can be removed for different, automotive tires. It's pretty substantial, but I'm not sure how long it would hold up in a busy tire shop. I only change a few tires by hand all year, so I'm not really going to be testing it to its limits. I could observe that this tool is pretty bulky, so I won't be keeping both, or even one in my motorcycle tool kit. Honestly, if I had a flat in the woods somewhere, I think I'd just hike out and call someone who owes me a favor to haul me and the flat-tired bike home where I could dismount the tire and replace the tube in a garage with a refrigerator full of pale ale... ... show more
